MUMBAISKIPPER
Is Day-NIght Test Cricket a good idea or bad one??Do you guys think people will go to the stadiums at night to watch test cricket?Do u guys seriously think T20 is threatening test cricket? Link to comment
JayStarz
Day/Night isn't really "night" time though is it? I forget what time the games finish here when its day night :S I wouldn't like seeing tests played day/night though, it would just seem an awkward schedule that doesn't fit to the way it currently is, e.g. breaks for lunch/tea or whatever. Desi Cartman
bad idea ... Its fun for a night or at the max 2 but to watch/play Night tests for 5 days is a bit too much. Link to comment
Bradman99
One of the worst ideas I have ever heard. Link to comment
cowboysfan
i dont know about this-too many problems to overcome as of right now.maybe they can overcome it. Link to comment
Sachinism
Not too keen on it, but I don't mind giving it a go. Nothing wrong it trying it out Link to comment
MUMBAISKIPPER
well if ICC wants to go with this then it must take steps to make test cricket exciting to pull spectators at night for 5 days. Link to comment
Cricketics
Only good idea for video games.. Link to comment
cowboysfan
why would it really be bad other than the obvious reasons such as the new ball and light issues?. Link to comment
Freedom
it should day for ever. Never mess with something traditional and end up eradicating it. Imagine watching 5 nights of cricket .... geeeeeez that would really test me. Link to comment
jf1gp_1
Not a bad idea but they have to figure out a way to control dew, also how to make that white ball last 80 overs. Link to comment
nballa
only if its bangladesh vs new zeland. these two boring teams dont warrant the time of the day. Link to comment
Max_Cady
fantastic idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111 test cricket needs CROWDS. no crowds, no survival for test cricket. ppl work during day so they cant see test matchs. this problem can be easily solved with d/n test matches. i also think its about time tests were played in colored clothing and with white ball. also reduce number of days from 5 to 3 or something like that so teams play attacking cricket at all timez. these are all fantastic ideas to make test cricket popular again so it doesnt diee now cricket is evolving and test cricket shud be changed to suit lifestyle of modern day ppl who dont give a chuck bout long five day cricket which doeznt guarantee result Link to comment
bharat297
BAD BAD IDEA !!! Test cricket is the one aspect of the game that should remain traditional. The crowds will come when the contest is good. Aus vs Ind in 2007/08 was a strong crowd, as was Aus vs South Africa in 2008/09. They just need to schedule games better so that at least 2 of the first 4 days coincide with a weekend. Im pretty sure the Ashes will have a strong crowd. Link to comment
hassan_113
As much as I love tests, I think it may be time to cut tests down to 4 days. Who has the time in this modern world to watch FIVE days of cricket where they may not be a result? OR continue 5 day tests and have the big teams play more v each other. Link to comment
Lord
Pathetic idea-Test Cricket should remain as it is. Link to comment
