iHammad Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ricky Ponting is all set to bid adieu to KKR after reports suggested he will be released from his current contract. The KKR management has zoom in on Abdul Razzaq to replace the Aussie skipper Kolkata, August 29th Australian skipper Ricky Ponting is all set to leave Kolkata Knight Riders this came barely a week after becoming the first ever Australian captain since the 20th century to taste successive Ashes series defeats in England. A report now suggests that IPL’s Kolkata Knight Riders’ are all set to release Ricky Ponting even before his 3 year contract matures. The management has now set sights on Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq. The inclusion of Razzaq, who broke away from the Indian Cricket League however remains subject to the diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan. Incidentally, Ponting skipped the IPL this year as he wanted to prepare for the Ashes. Agencies Source: http://www.cricfield.com/English/Features/Article/1860,0.htm
EnterTheVoid Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Rubbish article from a rubbish source. Even if Ponting leaves KKR, there's no hope in hell that he would be replaced by a Paki player (hmmm, I wonder why). Just lip service.
Jai Ho Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 bring him to delhi :cantstop: anything for winnings
rishi008 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Pointing should not be replaced by a rubbish player like razzaq, who has past his prime..still not sure if pakistani players are going to be there...
Texy Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 we all know why "Razzaq" will be in KKR ....... kkkkk kiran

This is KKR we are talking about. Look at the players they have signed before
Malcolm Merlyn Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 RAZZAQ:whack::bhejafry::wall::wall::wall: If this happens will surely change my IPL team :dd: may be a good idea
Lord Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 i m proud that my team:kxip: doesnt have pakis
King Tendulkar Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 SRK love affair with his beloved pakistan continues
Lord Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 SRK love affair with his beloved pakistan continues more like Dada's love affair with pakis.i doubt SRK interferes in selection of players as he doesnt understand cricket.he would go by wat the captain demands
kabira Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 well, KKR already has good overseas players like Mccullum, Gayle, Hussey. They don't need any more. To win IPL one needs good local players which they dont have. So concentrate on finding some local players.

I think IPL has a virus that makes good players :fail: and young players play good e.g Rohit Wonderboy

Texy Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 more like Dada's love affair with pakis.i doubt SRK interferes in selection of players as he doesnt understand cricket.he would go by wat the captain demands what you talking about? who bought mashrafe mortaza for the outlandish price of $600k just so that he can market himself to the bangladeshi community....just like that he has been practicing marketing himself to Pakistanis for the longest time.... he's the boss man and he makes all the decisions.... dada is not even a captain or a selector of KKR....he has nothing to do with which overseas players are chosen...dada just merely shares his opinion...ultimate decision goes to SRK 1st IPL -- KKR had the most no. of Pak players out of any team! 2nd IPL -- 26/11 thwarted his efforts to help out his pak brothers with IPL money 3rd IPL -- Wasim Akram, Abdul Razzaq already! p.s. nothing against Razzaq....he's a great 20-20 player!

Yup. SRK has a soft corner for Pakistan. No doubt about that.
ludhianvi Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Who's going to take Imran Nazir? :woot: Pakistani players have a reason to ask for high bids since Pakistan are the t20 champs. The bidding would be interesting for IPL 3.
