riya Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Not a keen follower of Pakistani entertainment section. But I do like some of their album songs, during my younger days Hassan Jahangirs songs were very popular,''hawa hawa yeh hawa....'','Shava yeh naghra.......',then sayyoni .....But my favaourite singers were Late NFAK and Late Nazia Hassan. They were different and class.

coffee_rules Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Pakistani pop - all sound the same. Ek ko suno, you don't have to listen to all of them. I liked it at first and now I am sick of listening to the same old crap. Their movies, Khuda ke liye is the only one's decent. Rest all are Somebody forwarded me a link to 'pakistani mujra' on youtube. I can't even see 10 secs, it's that bad. After NoorJehan, nobody's worth listening to.
Gambit Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Have never ever watched a Paki movie(:hysterical:)/serial. Have heard a few NFAK songs and Sayonee. That's about it.
coffee_rules Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Atif is the worst Bollywood singer, even Vinod Rathod is bearable.
Celeste Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 PTV drama serial Dhuwaan was the greatest hit of the 90s. It was a story of few friends working as under cover officers for government. If any one have time to kill, watch this. I bet you wont be disappointed. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OE1Ootk3Cp8]YouTube - DHUWAN - Pakistani Drama Serial - Part 1.flv[/ame]
Asim Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan: Heard alot about this Pakistani drama and I watched any drama completely after 7,8 years but man wow; really impressive one. Great story, wonderfully directed, extra ordinary cast and performance by them; worth watching... kubrickian Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I present to you a superb scene from a fantastic Oscar award quality movie from Pakistan - the aptly titled International Gorillay which has Special Effects which will make James Cameron hang his head in shame and acting which Marlon Brando will bow down to. -eoNLlHzPhI
Homerus_Unus Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I present to you a superb scene from a fantastic Oscar award quality movie from Pakistan - the aptly titled International Gorillay which has Special Effects which will make James Cameron hang his head in shame and acting which Marlon Brando will bow down to. -eoNLlHzPhI The movie is so friggin' hilarious that even Salman Rushdie, who's the guy being zapped by lasers, implored that the UK ban on this movie be lifted. Heck, there is a scene in the movie where these "crusaders" (Mustafa "Noori Nutt" Qureshi and co.) invade a facility dressed in Batman suits- the neon purple ones from the 60's TV show, not the bad-***** Christopher Nolan ones. I kid you not. This movie is a cult classic and needs to be archived.
Asim Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I present to you a superb scene from a fantastic Oscar award quality movie from Pakistan - the aptly titled International Gorillay which has Special Effects which will make James Cameron hang his head in shame and acting which Marlon Brando will bow down to. -eoNLlHzPhI This type of Pakistani cinema was widely rejected by Pakistani people (no doubt there was an equally important role played by Indian cinema too), but that’s why Pakistan film industry totally collapsed after 2000 and the above type of cinema finally finished here. Moreover in recent times, we can say there is a start of next generation Pakistani cinema, no doubt still progressing very very slow but at least there is a start and now since Indian movies also gets officially released here, it’s going to play rather a positive role because makers will make sure to at least present something closer to bollywood, if not better... Just yesterday came across this trailer of an upcoming Pakistani movie... Quite impressive, Look and tell me if we can even think to compare it with above? 2EJKlCqhL_Y
