Jadeja will be out and Yuvi should be in for next game, hopefully that'll make a difference. But at the end of the day, most of our top order failed. I know if it was upto Mr. Cooper we'd have Yusuf and Gony and Bhatia playing because of their wonderful IPL performances, but you have to realistic.

Nayar is a cowlasher too, Pandey is untested even at the dometic level. Nayar at best is a trundler. Youngsters will take time to evolve. We shouldn't judge the potential based on hit and giggle contest conducted by BCCI. Stop hyping players based on IPL. Look what happened to Yusuf Pathan.

Srikkanth thrilled at team's performance Chief selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth said that the Indian team's performance on Wednesday was outstanding. "The team's performance today was outstanding. All of them played well without exception. The old Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen today. He was brilliant. So too were Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and others," he said after declaring that the selectors have retained the same team for the next two ODIs of the seven-match series. The third and fourth ODIs are to be held in Delhi (Oct 31) and Mohali (Nov 2). Srikkanth pointed out that beating a strong side like Australia by a huge margin was not easily accomplished. "Beating a team like Australia by 99 runs is not a joke. This would give India the confidence to do well in the rest of the series," he said.

India retain same squad for two ODIs The BCCI announced that the same Indian squad will be retained for the next two ODIs of the seven-match series against Australia. National selection panel chairman Krishnamachari Srikkanth announced after India's 99-run victory in the second one-dayer that the same squad will play in Delhi (October 31) and Mohali (November 2). "We have decided to retain the same squad for the next two ODIs in Delhi and Mohali," Srikkanth said in the presence of BCCI joint secretary Sanjay Jagdale. The two teams are tied 1-1 in the series after Australia won by a narrow four runs at Vadodara in the first match on Sunday. The selection committee also announced a 14-member Board President's XI squad led by Rohit Sharma for the three-day match against visiting Sri Lanka to be played in Mumbai from November 11-13. The Squad: Rohit Sharma (captain), Robin Uthappa (vice-captain), Abhinav Mukund, Ajinkya Rahane, Manoj Tiwari, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Piyush Chawla, Pragyan Ojha, Pradeep Sangwan, Dhawal Kulkarni, Ashok Dinda, Pankaj Singh, Abhishek Nayar, Ishant Jaggi.
