Test series win in england and 20/20 wc chapms. It seems that cos he was a medium pacer who relied on swing and seam. Its automatically assumed that he advises bowlers to cut down pace and look for movement. There is no evidence he advises this and is purley myths and gossip. Please remeber that during his bowling coaching Z Khan has been awesome, should he then not take credit for that? Also for last 90 years we harldy ever produced serious pacers, is that his fault as well? I have a feeling that a new bowling coach will come in and you won't suddenly see the brilliant bowling form the team you may expect. Also dont think a new fileding coach will change things that much as am sure Robin has been attempting to drill in the basics to people like Nehra. But at international level you should not be having to coach basics but unforynatley he has had to. I guarantee no new super coach is going to turn the fans fav Nehra in to a greyhound

A coach can only work with what he is given. And some of the people they are given are just not good enough at least they wnt turn fast bolers into bowling ping pong balls.......all internationat pacers in last two years have gained pace.....our ones have lost?any reason for that???

When prasad came,a crop of young bowlers came who bowled brilliantly,ishant,praveen,r.p........bt in last 8-9 months instead of improving they are goin downhill steadily?hw come a 90mph bowler like ishant lost so much pace?Even we Icfers could see fault in his action.....name few bowlers who have improved in last 12 months???

A cricket team doesn't need bowling and fielding coach , one coach and other support staffs are enough, but this is not the way to let them go, atleast BCCI should have shown some respect for all the work they have put in in these 3 years :protest:
Lord Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 terrible decision.why not sack Gary if we have lost few series recently?just bcoz hes foreign?there r batting stars in our line-up n therefore our batting woes are shortlived.has Raina overcome his short ball problem under him?wat about Yusuf?has he learnt to build an innings?why not hold Gary responsible for that? Prasad has to work with newbies mostly n thats not easy.still he has done a stellar job.wen was the last time our pacers outbowled Aussies pacers?didnt Ishant get MoS?He has gone downhill so why blame coach?give him some time to rectify it?bowling actions cannot be rectified overnight. Robin's sacking is somewhat justified.our fielding standards have not shown any progress.

Finally we got rid of mediocre coaches, hopefully we hire someone better class. wat i meant there was why would u blame the coach n not the bowler.Ishant has been drafted in the squad for Aussie series.i also said that he should have been given time in case u missed it. n btw by better class coaches,u mean foreign coaches,right?

Either that or I can't wait for Ishant to transform into McGrath.

U guys can remember those days when jayasuriya and any other batsman treat him like a spinner .. Line and length my foot .. If u bowl at 120 wht's the use of line and length .. Regarding robin singh .. I really don't know how he managed to continue for so long ... Indian fielding has gone worse in recent years .. They drop catches .. they concede 2 runs where it should be one ... He was a part of team cos sachin liked him .. and he even got him selected for MI .. God save MI now .. See sachin's fitness also nowdays .. He is growing fat ..I know he is growing old and he will slow down .. But his overall fitness if going down fast .. The moment he score 60-70 runs u can see him cramping
