hari504504
I'm not going to dig-up any stats.. but just be the feel of all the matches India has played over the past few months.. He has matured into a very competent lower-order batsman....in the mould of Irfan Pathan : although Bhaj's bowling is way more effective that Irfan or the fake yousuf pathan. Plus He's just as young I think...and can only get better At the risk of Jinxing him tomo... you guys think he'd best fill the all-rounder role in the indian team for all formats..?...if anything..Dhoni should start promoting him up the order..as a nightwatchman in tests and for powerplays in ODIs Link to comment
DomainK
He is more than those bowlers who can bat a bit. But not enough to replace a full time all rounder. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
If his wicket taking was more consistent, we could consider him as an all rounder. Link to comment
coffee_rules
He is becoming an ideal #7 batsman, but not being our #1 strike bowler. His contribution is needed more for the latter. Link to comment

Sooda
Nopes let him focus on being a strike bowler and No 1 spinner. Maybe a bowler who can bat a biot. MSD seems keen on making him a decent batsman- promoting him in the challengers etc As far as his bowling goes... Record away from home 116 @ 37 in 35 matches. Guess we expect that At home in his last 12 matches (going back Nov 07) he has 52 wkts at 31. Two 5 wkt hauls, Once vs Saffies when they racked up 540 something (chennai test sehwags triple ton etc)- that was a good series overall 19 wkts in 3 tests the other vs Pak and even that was 5/122 they scored 420ish, Misbah and Kamran with tons He bowled well vs Aus, particularly in tandem with Mishra when we beat them at Nagpur. So he has been ok of late. Keep it going Bhajjster if he makes a few useful runs great, if not then its not his job Link to comment
dial_100
we don't have one.' date='so instead of persisting with the fake jadeja..we should give chances to specialist bowlers/batsman while he takes the allrounder slot..?[/quote'] I agree. We really do not have an allrounder. Bhajji is near fit for that position. Bring in extra specialist bowler while bhajji serves as an alrounder. Link to comment
Lord
hes a bowler who can bat, just like Kumble used to be.i dont think he has the technique or temperament to be an allrounder Link to comment

Ram
Don’t know about the all-rounder part, but he has a vital role to play first thing tomorrow morning. The ball will swing in the first 45 mins of the session and Lanka’s left-armers will pose a constant threat. He has to somehow first survive, and then score and take India’s score past 450, along with Dravid. It could make a big difference in the end. Link to comment
bunny
He is averaging 24 with the bat almost consistently over the last few years. A +6 in batting average and a -6 in bowling average and he would be an all conquering bowling all-rounder. Link to comment
ViruRulez
Nope he is not an all rounder. He is a slogger but surely not an all rounder. He is a bowler who can bat a bit but surely not an all rounder. Link to comment
