kabira
Thank you Sangakarra for waiting till Sachin completed 100 before giving up (six overs before close). He could have decided to give up 10 over before and be a spoil sport. Looks like even he wants Sachin to be ahead of Ponting. no no no, Both the captains have to agree. Sanga wanted to go right away, when batsman denied, he was not happy and his bowlers started to bowl well outside the off Link to comment
Sachinism
and rightly so. it has lowered my opinion of sachin. having to score a hundred on the flatest of all wickets' date=' bhaji could have scored a hundred on this pitch. even saeed ajmal could have!!!![/quote'] But I guess you still haven't lowered your opinion of Younis Khan or Kamran Akmal when they made hay on this pitch http://www.cricinfo.com/pakvsl/engine/match/388993.html? Gambit
Terrific image :hysterical: Gap between the two was a mere 2 100s in Apr 2007. It's increased to 5 now. Link to comment

Gavaskar once when he was the captain (and Zaheer Abbas was the other) played in the 2nd innings for a 100 and didn't agree to stop the match after the mandatory overs. This was in the 1983-84 series in India. http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/63347.html Link to comment
