Planned on seeing it but skipped for others instead, since the alien creatures looked pretty gay. I didn't know it was in 3d. Hmmm, that 3d factor might make it worth checking out. I only saw 'My bloody valentine' and 'Final Destination' because they were in 3d

There's only one word to describe this movie - EPIC! I could write a thousand words describing why I absolutely loved the movie, but it would be suffice to say that is quite possibly the best movie I have seen, EVER. Amidst all the usual crap that Hollywood generally throws out these days, James Cameron has produced a gem here. I wouldnt be surprised at all if this movie goes on to beat Titanic as the highest grossing movie all-time. Obviously, I dont wanna give too much away and spoil the fun for the rest of ya all, but if you're a movie buff, (which most of us are, here), this one is a must watch. And please, dont hesitate to dig that bit deeper into your pocket to watch the 3-D version. I promise you, you will not regret it. Jim Cameron yo bluddy legendz! :hail:

Guys, need some advice. I'm put off by those 'unworldly' creatures. I actually do not like to see such 'alien' stuff. Does the story merit a watch? I mean, is it ok to watch for people who do not like gory faces on screen as well?

saw it today.Digital version and not the 3D version. Kinda meh. 1st 30 minutes was good but after that it became a bore. I was more interested in the planet than the conflict. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes of Pandora, it became all about the people.

Will probably watch it on iMAX 3D since it's supposed to be a snowed in weekend here - might as well go the full Monty rather than watching on 2D! BTW, I have resolutely decided to pronounce 'Avatar' the way it is in Sanskrit/Hindi rather than go with the Americanized version, 'Aevaataar'. It raised a few queries from my work colleagues, but I plan to stick to my horses on this one!
