Either way both Rohit and Virat are so much better than Umar Akmal. So its good that we've started to ignor Umar in this analysis as he is patently not good enough.

Have you seen Kohli play? He's performed in most games he's played. You pick out 2 or 3 good performances from Rohit from the infinite chances he was given and believe he should be ahead of Kohli :haha:

Exactly! :giggle: Just to clarify the massive gap in performance between Virat and Rohit: Rohit, in 38 innings, scored 695 runs at an average of 24.82; Virat already has 584 runs from 15 innings at 44.92. I also think Rohit is talented and hopefully will become a good player for India in the future, but at the moment his record is utter rubbish whatever anyone claims by picking out 1-2 good innings out of his multitude of failures. And Virat played Mendis superbly in the series in August 2008, when both the ODI and Test line-ups had been under Mendis's spell, so it is not like he has just been plundering runs off bad bowlers.

Sharma is less mentally strong then Kohli at the moment. Less aware of match situation and the limits of his strenghts. However, long term when he works these out which he may already have done I beleive Sharma will be the equal to and in my opion the better batter.

just because kohli is making runs against a B-grade lankan attack and the minnows on flat tracks doesnt make him the next superman. i believe rohit has a lot more class than kohli. Whereas kohli has a lot more fire in the belly and the hunger to perform than rohit. both are still young. lets see what happens.
