It's very much like how Black was Metallica's best album. In both cases the bands moved away from pure Thrash Metal and reinvented themselves and produced a totally unique sound for their legacy. When you look back, you would think how greater Metallica could have been had Dave Mustaine not left them. But then had he not left then we wouldn't have had a band called Megadeth!
