Karan114 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 ^^ Yeah he is fine as according to that Cricinfo link posted above
SRT PWNS Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Well at least that's good news. We will be down with a depleted side, GG, Sehwag and Sachin will really have to pull it for India in these tests against SA.
The Outsider Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Dravid and Laxman will play the series on a stretcher if they have to. Hairline fractures and split webbings with 10 days to go are not going to keep either of them out.
Gunner_Mania Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Dravid and Laxman will play the series on a stretcher if they have to. Hairline fractures and split webbings with 10 days to go are not going to keep either of them out. Laxman might, Dravid more likely the second test than the first one.
jusarrived Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Kohli & Vijay should play , Dravid will be mixed but Yuvis injury is a blessing for the test team
urbestfriend Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 If dravid misses out, Pujara should play. If VVS misses out Badri must play. If yuvi misses out, a bowler or a bowling all rounder must play.
vvvslaxman Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Get Irfan Pathan on. He has scored 397 runs at 49 & picked 22 wickets at 18 in 5 matches this season. Good all round performance. Would be a good no.7 batsman.
I_India Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Can't wait for the SA series. Boys will be separated from men.
vvvslaxman Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Our players will be dog tired after multiple one day matches and this test series. I have a bad feeling about this series.
urbestfriend Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Get Irfan Pathan on. He has scored 397 runs at 49 & picked 22 wickets at 18 in 5 matches this season. Good all round performance. Would be a good no.7 batsman. No Pathan please. He is ceased to be international level test bowler and he can't make it to team based on his batting too. I'd rather play Sir Aggy instead of Pathan.
HouMac Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Wait a sec...how come SA is coming to India again? Considering the last Test series between the 2 teams took place in India, isn't it India's turn to go to SA now?
riya Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 My Goodness,don't care about useless Raj(in tests),but Dravid :((
spectre Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Bring in the Raina boy I believe he will make it big in test cricket as well
kabira Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 dravid missing will be a big blow. he was in best form for last few years.
Andy Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 OMG..Dravid will be a huge loss for us!! Dinesh Karthik and Vijay may play. Vijay is ok. But Karthik???WTF?? :((
Sooda Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 The problem with Pathan is he pretty much NEEDS the new ball, for at least 4 or 5 overs as he hasnt been very good at all with the older one. He more than any Indian pacer of recent times requires assitance from conditions. Dosent have the pace so he should at least get some accuracy to keep it tight. He certainly cant play as one of a four man attack More than handy with the bat though- think his last test was that Motera disaster vs Saffies and he batted well- good stand with Ganguly in the second dig IIRC- though he bowled pants. Kaif deserves another shot at test cricket but Badri and Vijay should be the first choice replacements as they have been in all recent squads and to go for anyone different now would be very harsh
kabira Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Murali Vijay is first choice So for Yuvi he comes in. VVS will be fit, So vijay bats at 3, We bring in Irfan Pathan who bats at 7, Dhoni at 6, we can go with 2 spinners and 2 seamers plus Pathan
