Texan
He won't play this year' date=' they're considering him for next year[/quote'] At this rate, I don't think we'll ever see him bowl. Wonder why these players (Sharma and Kamran Khan) don't play Ranji cricket. I find it hard to believe that no Ranji team will be interested in hiring them. zen
Smithy is out of IPL due to a fractured finger .... Anyways, with the current set up, it appears as if to win a game, RR either has to play remarkably well or the other side has to play badly
zen
One thing that RR can do is bowl some serious pace, which is what they should do. There 3 overseas players should be Warny, Morkel and Tait. A toss up 4 the 4th place amongst others. For the next game: - Agarwal - Ojha - J'wala - YP - Dogra - Vouges / .... - Raut - Morkel - Warney - Tait - Munaf /Trivadi / Kamran / ....
Watson87
Seriously man, this year we will be at the bottom of the table, no Watson can you believe it? Smith gone, Only pathan is the real batsman, we are a bowling powerhouse but if any team scores 150+ we are screwed. :((

zen
Let's get Morkel in in place of Lumb so that's improves our bowling attack further .... Need to give games to Agarwal and Raut too. And when Watson comes in, it will be great

And when Watson comes in' date=' it will be great[/quote'] Nope, the batting is still the problem Need 7 batsman and 4 bowlers Remember Pathan and Voges can bowl good part time So Lumb has to go play as he is much better than martryn who looked just out of depth. Hopefully he will have more luck and maybe some better batting positions.

Hopefully he will have more luck and maybe some better batting positions. The point is not whether how good Lumb is than Martyn, but how much better they are than domestic players like Agarwal, Raut and company. And is it worth wasting an overseas slot on them compared to getting someone like Morkel in who could strengthen the bowling (a strength of RR) a little more :winky: If you batting is weak, you have two options: either get good batsmen in (if there are good replacements in the side) or strengthen the bowling (if it's good) a bit more so the bowlers keep things manageable for batsmen and try to win games for the team .... If batting replacements are neither of exceptional quality nor in form, then you not strengthening the batting but merely playing musical chairs with the squad
