King Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I don't hope India can bounce back, obviously miracles won't happen often. TBH, this is going to be the Indian batting line up in the years to come. When Tendulkar, Rahul and Laxman is gone it will leave a huge void. I guess India has certainly not been able to fill in properly for Kumble and Ganguly yet. It's going to take an year or two for sure. Luckily enough India can still rely on the batting (not in this test match though). No shame to be honest, South Africa have played awesome cricket so far.
kabira Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Finally Golden Run above to end. Well atleast he has an excuse. Now is Laxman fit for Eden Gardens?
Watson87 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 God is overrated. I hope he learns how to handle Steyn from Sehwag and plays him better. God looked very uncomfortable even playing a wannabe spinner like Harris, he looks out of touch. If he doesn't score a ton, we're doomed
Karan114 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 If he doesn't score a ton' date=' we're doomed[/quote'] We're doomed even if he does - 259 friggin runs behind even now. This is going to be one of our worst home defeats of all time.
coffee_rules Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 India have never lost under Dhoni?? No, only drawn and won matches for him, so far. The last time India lost was against SA at home in 2008.
Riley's Girl Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 This is an impossible situation. On the one hand: :yay: Graeme & his boys are playing eceptionally well. On the other: :(( I don't want Mahi to loose a Test.
vvvslaxman Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Without Gambhir India cannot do zilch in Second innings. He is second innings god. But our cricinfo stats man had to come up with a stupid article to jinx him Grrr
Guest Gunner Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 This is an impossible situation. On the one hand: :yay: Graeme & his boys are playing eceptionally well. On the other: :(( I don't want Mahi to loose a Test. You occasionally have to lose a game. It happens.
DomainK Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Had to come some day. Like I said before, I am happy that it took an extraordinary performance to beat Dhoni's team. I am sure Dhoni will not lose too many matches though.
asterix Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Dhoni is getting his due come uppance..Serves him right for his pathetic captaincy and field placing in the first innings..
kabira Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 oh well, he has an excuse, he missed two pros. But well done SA, their coach was fired, but they seem to do all the right things.
diegovegaz Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 its just not a loss, its an innings defeat in india only the third time, in indian history
