Who will lift the T20 Trophy this year?

I have to say "Australia". The way Aussies bowlers were bowling against Pakistan, it was an unforgettable. The average Bowling speed of Aussies 4 Fast bowlers was about 148-150 kmh 1. Tait bowled regularly between 155-160 kmh 2. Nannes bowled regularly between 150-155 kmh 3. Jhonson bowler 146-152 kmh regularly. 4. Watson bowled between 140-145 kmh regularly. Except for Kamran Akmal, none of Pakistani batsmen was able to stand against this fast Bowling attack. I don't think any one in world could ever match this Aussies Bowling (only in Past once Pakistan Bowling matched it when Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib and Razzaq played together. At that time Razzaq was 140kmh bowler. Unfortunate for Pakistan that Razzaq is now only 130kmh bowler) And now coming to Aussies Batting Line up: 1. Watson (20/20 Specialist and match winner) 2. David Warne (match winner) 3. White 4. David Hussy 5. Marsh Again a very young and very Talented 20/20 Batting line and very explosive too. I am really impressed with this 20/20 team. In coming T20 Cup, I don't think any one is able to beat this Team (except for Exceptional Days).

Well i dont think Aussie will lift the trophy as such, its an unpredictable format, anything can happen anyday.One bad game and you are out.That happened to Saffies in World T20 07 against India :isalute: Now Aussie are a new side, with some young guys performing well.But you need to admit certain things: 1)They are playing at home, so the conditions are well known. 2) They are playing against some weak opponents who has already had a poor outing in Aus, so pressure is on them 3) The decks are very conducive for pace bowling, i know in Windies the decks will not be bowling friendly 4) Hitting 150k will go at 200k if not bowling in the right areas especially on the flat tracks of the windies, so pace bowlers are going to find it extremely difficult, I think some good slow bowlers will cone in handy for Aus As they say "Faster it comes, faster it dissapears" Bracken, Hopes, Watson will be a good bowling unit under those conditions than Dirk Nannes, Shaunt Tait and all quickman. To me I find India as a good contender, S.Africa and N.Zeland being at the top favourites at this format, and yes dont forget the World Champs :woot:

I think Aus will be tough to beat in the T20 format because of the bowling line up they have. I haven't seen much so I don't know how accurate they were, but they seem to be doing a decent job

May be you are right about Fast Bowling in W. Indies, but dear I must say that Nannes was really good in last IPL on Indian Wickets, which are bigger graveyard for Fast Bowlers as compared to W.Indies.

India lacks only 2 Reliable Fast Bowlers along with Fit Zaheer. Actually Sreesanth and RP Singh got that potential and they showed it in first T20 Cup too. Unfortunately, both of them have lost now. All hopes are not upon Kumar, Ishaant etc. Batting wise still India is No 1 in T20, with Sehwag, Gambhir, Raina, Dhoni,Yousuf, Yuvraj singh as match winners.

I think Australia has an excellent chance, party because of their stunning pace attack, but mainly because their superior fielding and revamped batting. Till now, Australia has by and large tried to manage with test and 50 over specialists in the T20 format also. So, you had guys like Ponting (till he retired), Clarke, Mike Hussey form key components of their batting and they werent always very successful. But now, some of the old names have been replaced by young, raging bloods in the form the Warners and Whites and Watsons. This gives their batting a more T20 feel to it. And how good is their fielding? When was the last time you saw an Aussie fumble in the outfield or drop a catch? Their fielding is their biggest asset in this format and something that gives them a tremendous edge over other teams. But they're not without weaknesses either. First, it should be interesting to see how the current batting line-up actually manages to navigate some good spinning attacks in the T20 format. They might pulverize the bowling where's a lot of pace, but how will they cope if there's spin a guile? And secondly, they dont have a good spinner in their ranks either. Now, that deficiency can be masked relatively easily by their pacers in the fast, bouncy T20 pitches of Australia, but it will begin to show in the lower and slower pitches of the subcontinent and West Indies. So, in that sense, its is almost stupid to predict a winner, esp. given the fickle nature of this format. So maybe the better thing to do is probably predict the semi-finalists and my picks would be Australia, West Indies, India and Sri Lanka. (Yes, I think Pakistan will crash out in the first round this time.)

Dear, dont be so narrow minded. What my praise of Aussies team has to do with Pakistan? I was impressed with Average Fast Bowling Speed of Aussies, which I have not seen in my whole life before. Moreover, Aussies are not bad in playing the Spinners too. Their Captain of T20 Clarke is specialist in playing against Spinners. Also White and David Hussy hit Saeed Ajmal and Afridi many 6s and played them wonderfully (I believe both of these Pakistani Spinners are good ones).
