Now Veeru only has to get past Lara's test record.

Lara will keep his record mainly because we don't have selfish players like him. He continued that innings with a single objective which was to score 400.
Very true.

Viru can do it without being selfish , all he needs is 5-6 sessions . India dec 680/7 V.Shewag 410 , not unlikely ..we might even get 10-20 overs to pick few opp wickets by end of second day :--D

I am actually convinced it will happen...or that Veeru will atleast score another triple ( if not 400) and therefore be at a pedestal , where none has ever reached. Kiwis coming home later this year for a slaughter. :--D

Umm, what are you talking about mate. It was SRT who was selfish when he showed displeasure at being called back by RSD when he was on 194 against Pakistan whereas Lara was just batting to score runs for his team and waiting for his captain to call him back (oh wait :wink2:) Had WI declared around 550-600ish it would have given them a better shot at winning the game instead of getting brown washed in their own backyard. Just to make sure he gets to the quadruple century lara spent 170 balls (from 300 to 400) instead of looking for a quicker declaration. Indians are self-loathers and they'll be the first one to praise Lara for his 'surreal feat' but when SRT shows displeasure at missing 200, then to them he is just playing for numbers :giggle:

Eggjactly. Forsome who has scored 300 in a days equivalent play more than once, 400 is just 4 sessions around and about. :hysterical: Has India never batted 4 sessions before ?
