If bradman had played these days, I doubt he would have had average of even 60.00. I can safely say this because we do not have any comparisons. It would have been fun if he was playing right now. If he had average of 57 in this era then I would have accepted that he is/was better than SRT. So for me it is hard to say. The two eras are far to apart.

If Bradders was born 35 years ago and chose to play cricket, how good would he have been? We'll never really know. But he was obviously blessed with supreme hand eye coordination and natural talent. Had he honed that using modern coaching techniques and training methods it is safe to say he would have beena pretty decent cricketer

can't compare batsmen of 2 different eras, back in 30s they were playing timeless matches, uncovered pitches and different standards, the fielding standards have certainly gone way high now, I do feels that batsmen like kallis, dravid too would had averaged 70-80 in those eras, I may be wrong though :blink:

Which is why we should say Tendlukar is the best batsman of his generation, Bradman the best of his. This way there everybody is happy. There should be no comparisons, people saying one is better than the other because there is no proof I dont care what people say, they can't tell me that Tendulkar is a better batsman than Bradman was.

For me Sachin is the greatest of all time, as he had played much more than what Don did and in every conditions, Not once, twice, But thrice and sometimes 4 times. So even after so much of a test, if this man after 21 years manages to be the best in the world. No wonder he is the greatest.

There will always be differences in playing conditions, pitches, quality of opposition, etc between players of different generations, so you bring that into the equation when comparing. If you go with your approach, you can't even compare players from 90s with current players. Only peers can be compared then.
