Sherlock Holmes My first post on this forum so a big 'hi' to everyone! The last film I checked out was Sherlock Holmes. This was one of Holmes (Robert Downey Jr) toughest assignments where a dead man turns up alive to cause havoc in London .... Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams), the girl for whom Holmes has a thing for, comes back in to his life .... Dr. Watson (Jude Law) is getting married but has to stick up with Holmes as the man whom he pronounced dead his running around (along with genuine concern for Holmes which he doesn't want to show). Holmes goes joking about it And this is a different Holmes, the one that does Martial Arts and gets psychotic when he has no case to solve! The film has its moments, drags a little only to entertain us back with some good action scenes and humor. The sets were great, special mention to that famous London bridge (can't recall its name) thats shown to be under construction. The chemistry amongst the lead characters Homles, Watson and Irene is spot on .... In short, not perfect but highly enjoyable. Waiting for Sherlock Holmes part 2 already! Btw, also saw the trailor of Ironman 2 and it looked promising! PS And yes '3 Idiots', probably the best Hindi film of 2009 .... Highly recommended!

welcome to ICF' date='you are wrong abot the best hindi movie of 2009,its DEV D:--D[/quote'] haha Dev D, was it realized in 2009? Though I haven't seen it!

Dev D has a great soundtrack. Havent seen it yet though I watched 'Daybreakers' today, its ookaayy. not bad. Interesting idea : twist on the usual Vampire fare but ends up being another slash-fest. Expected a bit more from a cast of Ethan Hawke, Wilem Dafoe etc.

Predator (1987). What a classic. One of the best action movies made...and still does not feel outdated after so many years. This movie is full of testosterone.

East of Eden .... James Dean's debut film (1955) .... Showed why James Dean is a star despite only making 3 films (died in a car crash at the age of 24. His other films: A rebel w/o a cause and Giant).... Awesome film and performances, Hollywood story telling at its best!
