Thor - 8/10 I loved the performances by Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddelston as Loki. Infact, Loki is the best written villain for a Marvel comic book movie. Anthony Hopkin's performance as Odin and father of Thor and Loki was great as well. Most of the supporting cast did well too. The action scene in frost giant planet was awesome. Other action scenes were solid. But this movie really should be watched for the acting and gorgeous visuals of Asgard, Thor's planet.

Thor was pretty good...yes some good performances, nice action set pieces and Asgard looked great. what really made it for me was Hawkeye making a cameo apprearance :aha: man they really are setting it up so well for the Avengers film. I. so. cant. wait. Did anyone notice Dr Stranges All Seeing Eye of Agomotto in Asgards relic chamber. :D And make sure you stay till after the credits (like The Hulk, Iron Man 1 and 2) Nick Fury makes an apperance...do the same for Captain America: The First Avenger..

Didn't notice Dr. Strange's agomotto. Yes, I sat through the credits. Superb scene. It ties into Captain America and The Avengers. Oh man, I can't believe we are getting THE AVENGERS movie next year. :yay:

last night - okayish ! I mean its just stupid that a man can still be in love with his wife even if he's physically unfaithful and a woman cannot control her feelings for another guy but she can be within her limits physically.. 6/10 type movie

Chalo Delhi 8/10 Vinay Pathak is a class act. Essays the role of a lower middle class happy go lucky (minus the harsh language) Delhiwala very well. Good directorial debut by Lara Dutta. The movie was stretched a tad bit too much, but a fun watch.
6.5/10 (minus the nice ending: 5.5 ) yes, nice tp movie. best thing: the ending.

The Inglorious Basterds 4/10 Didn't see the whole thing. Got bored in between. I didn't understand the bit where the fake Germans ( Brad Pitt and his team) meet the female spy in a pub occupied with real German soldiers. What was the point of that? And how do the Germans realize??? Maybe will watch the remainder tomorrow.

My advice to you is to skip " the Inglorious Basterds" if you don't like that genre of movies. I was also watching it abhi, post dinner. It is some alternate history rubbish. To appreciate it, we must first know the actual WWII history quite well, which I don't. A time to Kill is a lovely movie. :two_thumbs_up:

Inglorious Bastards is like :puke: You want to watch a war movie then watch Hurt Locker or Saving Private Ryan or Schindlers List. "Patton" is also an exceptional biopic.

Inglorious Basterds is not a serious movie on WWII. It's a fantasy/fictional, loosely scripted movie on the war. If you don't like QT, then ..basterds is not for you. On the bar scene..how did they know that the British spy is not a German officer? He uses the index, middle and ring fingers for signalling "three". In German, they use the thumb, index and middle fingers. The lady reveals this later in the movie. Since, you stopped it midway, you didn't know at me thinks. If you like to watch a serious movie on the subject of betrayal/vengeance set on the backdrop of WWII - a Jew "becomes" a German to avenge the Germans - then get hold of the Dutch movie "ZwartBoek". Trust me, you'll be overwhelmed by the acting of the protagonist, Carice van Houten. One of the best, if not the best Dutch movie ever made.
