Precambrian Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 What a player! Just what a player! He rarely touched 140 kmph today, but yet ended up taking 4 wickets!
Sachin=GOD Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Best bowler of his generation by miles and the also among the best of all time.
Trichromatic Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Best bowler of his generation by miles and the also among the best of all time. It's still kinda hard to believe that how can he average below 25 when all bowlers average over 30. Asif was probably only other bowler with average around 25 of his generation.

Asif was probably only other bowler with average around 25 of his generation. He has all the three ingredients I had written in one of my thread regarding ingredients for fast bowlers. There are not many other bowlers like him accept James Anderson, Ryan Harris, Jerome Taylor, and Chris Tremlett. All these 4 bowlers are very good. Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron both look to have these ingredients, but all depends on their consistency and learning skills as how they develop in future.
King Tendulkar Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Nah Steyn is not best ever. Look at his average in UAE, SL and England. Mediocre. Shows he is not a match winner. He chokes like rest of team i.e world cups etc Also his 4th innings record is mediocre, as then is when it really matters, crunch time and he chokes His record pales in to comparison against Lohmann.

Raghav_12 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Superb bowler. But Bollinger is catching up quickly :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Cricket Tragic Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Roach will be better than Steyn  Roach has been a disappointment after the series in SL. He still has time though.

You might have been sarcastic in your original post but you did hint at the truth!!! :two_thumbs_up: P.S. Does not take away any accolades that Steyn gets here but just saying he is the "Greatest of All Time" will always be under scanner!!! He is certainly the greatest of his time :hatsoff:
rkt.india Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 23 overs 98 runs and 1 wicket in the 4th innings B-> :cantstop: It was 4 years ago that Styen had not taken a single wicket after bowling 15 overs in an innings. Poor day for him, was struggling with his bowling action.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 had that catch not gone through his fingers, this test could have been a very different story.
