Rajiv Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Rajinikanth is a Marathi actually:giggle: Really, now that changes everything
Ram Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Really' date=' now that changes everything[/quote'] Yep, he's from a Marathi family born and raised in B'lore and moved to Madras only in his 20s.
Cricketics Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Dude Domaink, Top post. Well explained. Cheers
The Dark Horse Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Really' date=' now that changes everything[/quote'] yea, lessens the h4te to some extent:cantstop:
Rajiv Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 ^^ I never even mentioned Rajni and hate, I was just peeved at the ROBOT movie. As a matter of fact - Rajni has done some good roles in Hum and Andha Kanoon but that was when those movies did great
Gunner_Mania Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 The reason why Rajni is big is not just his movies. That is just one part the other part is his non cinema side which has a huge influence on people and his subsequent fan following. Oh and it is also a family thing, My mom is a Rajni fan, I am and now my son is fast becoming one. So even the fan following gets passed through generation. Rajni is not an 'actor', defnitely not by the definition that is used to define the likes of Kamal / Mamooty etc - even Rajni would agree with it. @Yoda - to answer your question - Baba was is crap.
Guest Hiten. Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 It's also funny how people are boasting about Hindi film industry, making it look like this fraternity produces gem after gem. It's the worst and more overhyped industry you'llcome across who produce the same crap with different cast and banner.
Rajiv Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 ^^ not anymore. but purana zamana had some original stuff. The worst time period would be 1994-2000'ish
coffee_rules Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 ..thats why it's irritating to see that all these 1000 crores are spent on a comedy like this p.S keep it down south I wish SRK, KJo, and some of Yash Chopra movies had released only in Mumbai, as only Mumbaiyaas can watch that superficial fake crap. p.s: not a rajni fan.
DomainK Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I wish SRK, KJo, and some of Yash Chopra movies had released only in Mumbai, as only Mumbaiyaas can watch that superficial fake crap. p.s: not a rajni fan. Wonder if you know that those movies make more money abroad than in India.
Zelig Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Wonder if you know that those movies make more money abroad than in India. What else did you expect when you have guyz like Bobby living abroad
Roshanrocks Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 :P is this the speeech where he says...that a rajasthani oldie neighbor in bangalore was speechless when rajni said he was the hero opposite Ash?
