dr_tooley Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Azar Ali? Average player currently playing on a flat pitch.
Jadoo Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 He looks Ok, is gritty and willing to face it out, though all this gets ballooned in size as he bats with a bunch who are incompetent, toothless, and guys who contrary to what Afiridi say's are here on a holiday.
vvvslaxman Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 DInesh Karthik played in England better than any of the current Pakistan players they have now. He made 3 fifties in 3 tests as an opener. They had inform Sidebottom too.
ch1234 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 In the crease he looks like something of Ross Taylor and something of Rohit Sharma.. And equally as classy as both. But not at all in the class of Yusuf or Dravid; but far a treat to watch than Akash Chopra..But he was all at sea against Hilfernhaus in the recent test series..

ch1234 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Yusuf is not in the same class as Dravid . Did I say?..Chcek the word "or"
Karan114 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Looks like a rare poyzzz batsman who actually looks to spend time at the crease instead of slogging away even if not very talented, but not remotely comparable to even a poor version of the early Rahul Dravid. Dravid averaged 55 against Donald and Pollock in SA and 72 against Ambrose, Walsh and Bishop in the Carribean within his first year of Test cricket, this guy is nowhere that sort of ability.
jf1gp_1 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 In the crease he looks like something of Ross Taylor and something of Rohit Sharma.. And equally as classy as both. .. he looked more like a kaif type player; limited ability , willing to spend time on crease; played well yesterday but has been crappy in previous innings but dont know what made him look classy
ch1234 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 but dont know what made him look classy Watching him throughout this Paki tour of England. Like Rohit and Ross, he is a classy talented batsman.
imran666 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 he was looking so good until moyo had a brain fart and ran him out
jusarrived Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Watching him throughout this Paki tour of England. Like Rohit and Ross, he is a classy talented batsman. :haha: :haha:

ensd2 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Agar ali (Z) is ordinary : he scored a 35 balls duck ...good batsmen ( Sehwag , Smith , Dilshan,gayle etc ) score 50 in 35 deliveries
Number Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 He has pretty much secured his place in test XI. Named in ODI squad against England. Will be interesting to see his approach in ODIs.
Old guy Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 has good attitude ..but needs to develop some shots and has bat habitof fishing out side of stump and never really looks settled to me in tough conditions dont compare him to dravid lol
