Should Mohammad Amir be banned or rehabilitated, if found guilty?

Yes age will be a mitigating factor. I guess 2-3 year ban if found guilty and give him a chance to redeem himself...especially if it is found out that he bowled the no ball under the influence of his captain. He can clear his head and come back.

There is no such distinction between match fixing and spot fixing according to the ICC anti corruption code. Fixing is fixing according to the rules based on which their inquiry is going to be held. They have been charged with various offenses under Article 2 of the code, with a total of 23 charges amongst the three players. Age no excuse if proved guilty - Pakistan associate manager Shafqat Rana, Pakistan's associate manager, has said that Mohammad Amir's age should have no bearing on possible punishment if the spot-fixing charges leveled against the 18-year old seamer are proved to be true. Interesting Asim that you want praise for a statement that is not looking for an excuse for the cheats to get away? A bit of honesty has become so rare, huh? Besides, it's still an effed up statement because of the position the man occupies, he is one of the several guys in PCB responsible for keeping the environment clean for youngsters like Aamer. These guys should take a bigger share in the blame if an 18 years old enters an already rotten system and goes astray because no one ever showed him the right way. He is one of those guys who stood and watched the dirty act and probably even took his cut to let it all grow. And now he has the guts to stand and say that Aamer deserves no mercy? The cheat players hopefully will be punished by the ICC. Who will punish these idiots? There were people responsible for prevention of exactly these crimes. Where are they? What are their names? Why they have not been fired yet? Why they are not coming forward to either support the players or take their share of blame?

It's a rare admirable statement coming from the Pakistani camp, but honestly tell me what is Pakistan's associate manager's aukaad in the entire situation. The people who matter and the prominent figures of PCB or appointed by PCB have taken a distinctly different stance. I wouldn't be surprised if he says he was 'misquoted' a few days later.

Seriously, they go on about "if they are found guilty". Found?? We can all see the authentic video. Do they really think it was coincidence? They are guilty. Found and not are guilty!!! This says a lot about the paki culture.

What's with all the love for Amir? Is it because people think he is just Ignorant because he is young? ICC,on numerous occasions, have educated him about Match fixing and how to avoid bookies. Even the inept PCB has warned him about Majeed. If this was 15 years ago, with no clear rule or precedence about match fixing in cricket, one could argue that, but he has been educated about all this. It is pretty clear that he did it for easy money and didn't think he would be caught.Isn't that why people turn to a life of crime? He has been in the team for more than year and its pretty clear that he is not exactly poor anymore. He has a big house in the city and earns more than 99% of Pakistanis. He may not be as rich as Sachin but Sachin took years to be where he is by playing honest cricket for much less than what Amir has been getting. It is just plain old greed. What if tomorrow you learn that Virat Kholi fixed a match? Would you want him to play for India anymore? Do you want him "rehabilitated" ?
