8:15 am: Wake up in the morning with a sore left cheek (Harbhajan slapped you the previous evening for no apparent reason) 8:45 am: Go down to your car and drive to practice. 8:50 am: Crash your car while taking a U-turn because you have no sense of timing or placement. 9:15 am: Get screamed at by Jonty Rhodes for being late to practice. Then get slapped by Bhajji just for being you. 9:30 am: Drop catches, then drop more catches, followed by even more catches. Jonty Rhodes gives up on you. 12:00 pm: Practice ends. 3:00 pm: You meet Mukesh Ambani. He doesn’t recognize you. 5:00 pm: Match begins. You’re fielding first. 5:15 pm: Drop first catch of the day. Minutes later, drop second catch of the day. 7:30 pm: First innings ends. The target is huge. “Pollard hai na!†you think to yourself. 7:45 pm: Tendulkar hammers some runs. You wish you had even half his talent. 8:00 pm: You’re sent in to bat. 8:01 pm: You’re out. 8:30 pm: You watch Pollard hit sixes. 8:34 pm: You walk up to a hot chick in the stadium and say “I taught him how to do that.†She laughs in your face. 9:00 pm: Pollard gets out.
