That the United States of America had no stomach for a prolonged fight and Pakistan would continue to have major influence over Afghanistan & the Taliban would join the proxy war against India. Well it ain't so simple, payback is a ***** Seriously, what took 8 long years to start working on the Af-Pak border, to send ur army in South Waziristan to flush the area of those terrorists who stone women on charges of infidelity ? If it weren't for American pressure, the same 'we want more, give us more' would continue. Well it hasn't ended so far.
