rkt.india Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Now after winning so comprehensively against Aussies...I do not think Kiwis stand to win a single test against us..........so we need a 3-0 win against New Zealand.
Sachinism Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 We definitely should do so. NZ is weak ATM, we need to be ruthless
zaheer Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 NZ is loosing against Bang bros too.. so it should really be easy!! Winning in SA would be just too good!! :D
King Tendulkar Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 NZ not as bad as people think. They will be very competitive. They will be well up for it and we sometimes against weaker teams can take our foot of the accelarator. But with competition for places hot, performances should be at 100%. If dhoni can win a few tosses then 3-0 is definitley on
IT_Anxiety_NJIT Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 3-0 is highly on the cards. The best bet will be India not to lose a test match against NZ. Easy money making oppurtunity.:yay:

Hindustani Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Get Taylor Out, the rest won't be difficult
kabira Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Venues are Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Nagpur I think I might be able to watch 2 of them, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. I want them to win first 2 tests, send our core team to RSA ahead of time to get acclimatize.
ZodiaC Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Anything less than a 3-0 Brownwash will be disappointing. And I don't agree that the current NZ is a competitive test side. My only interest in this series is how well the youngsters will perform and who will make their cut to SA.
Fontaine Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I don't think NZ should be under estimated. Their batting is going through a low period but they have a very balanced bowling attack with Vettori who's one of the best and some pretty good younger bowlers in there also.
Shane Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 It wont be easy, we just cant expect them to roll over and hand us a 3-0 win, we would need similar determination and discipline as shown against Oz, I have a feeling Harbhajan is gonna a big series against the Kiwis.

Vettori is a bit overrated as a bowler. Anyways nothing to be threatening enough for us. And who are the rest of the bowlers other than Vettori that are pretty good at test level? :hmm:

fineleg Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Nov 4-8: First Test, Ahmedabad Nov 12-16: Second Test, Hyderabad Nov 20-24: Third Test, Nagpur How are the pitches at these venues? We need pitches that can help our bowlers. Flat tracks will be a pain! Are these flat pitches or can they "spice" it up?
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 dead pitches, all three. but NZ can't play spin. this is a good time to play Ashwin, the guy takes wickets in every game and his height could be useful on these wickets. give bhajji a rest, play ashwin and ojha. i would rest zaheer too and give unadkat his debut. he can swing the ball really well.
saneindian Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Nagpur...get ready to watch tests played in empty stadium. It's a pity why such places are even alloted test matches where historically there has been no apetite for test cricket. On the other hand, good chance for us to test some of these young guns and get them ready for SA series. BTW we don't get any points from this series if we win 1-0 or 2-0, to get that 1 ranking point we need a 3-0 whitewash!!
coffee_rules Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 NZ, are practing batting and bowling wearing headphones blazing crowd noise.
Cricketics Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 3-0 is on, but i reckon it will be 2-0 with Ryder-taylor putting up a big stand in a certain test to make it a draw.
