More importanly it does appear these criteria are starting to shift opinions amongst people/media that have and continue to believe Bradman is undisputed number one and that tells you something about these people and their opinions. It says nothing of those that have always believed Tendulkar was number one/two.

Aussies will always have a soft corner for their hero as will Indians for theirs. Plus these two extra-ordinary batsman are from totally different eras. I would like the think SRT as the best batsman of modern day cricket (70s and onwards) while Bradman the best batsman of yesteryears cricket (up until the 60s). Although SRT is my definition of the perfect batsman, one thing I am pretty astonished by is the 99.94 average that he had over 52 tests (3 decades). I don't care what the quality of opposition was. You do not even see that in first class or club level. The way SRT has played in 2010, Bradman played at this level for his whole career. Now that is impressive.

Maybe we should give benefit of the doubt to contemporary cricketers and Bradman topping all of them. The 99.94 has locked the vault, no other criteria can cross it unless we have some variables to prove otherwise
