Sachinism Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 May be meeting Goddy in an hour Anyone got any questions? Will ask if I get a chance (if I do meet him)
Ram Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 OMG! OMG! Is he in DA UK? :omg: Here's my list; How does he want Sanjay Manjrekar/Ian Chappell to be executed? Lethal injection or firing squad? :giggle: Kidding aside, How does he rate our chances in the WC? Does he think there are other areas we can improve? Will he be playing in the NZ ODIs? How is the Indian team preparing differently for the challenge of the South African tests? l
Rajiv Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Leave all questions aside, most important - does he visit this site, if not then tell him

Sachinism Posted October 26, 2010 Author Posted October 26, 2010 Yesterday at work we were planning the Christmas party. I've decided I'm not going; £45 ticket for food I know I'm not gonna enjoy. One of my colleagues was saying I bet you'd come if Sachin Tendulkar was there. I replied, I'd pay £245 if he was there, but he's not gonna be at West Ham United's Ground. Then speaking to my cousin who told me Sachin is doing for the Asian Awards and maybe we could meet him while he's here. So he did a bit of investigating and found out Sachin is in London and found his hotel. At 7pm he calls into the hotel and the receptionist transfers to call to Goddy's room. A lady answers and my cousin thinks the call hasn't gone though and he's been returned to reception, but soon realised it was Anjali, got talking to her and explained we wanted to meet Sach, she told us he's out but will be back around 8 and we could meet him in the lobby. So we quickly get ready and leave for his hotel. We make it there and call Anjali again and find they're not in their hotel room. So the wait begins, how long do we wait before calling it a day? We decide to wait 2 hours. Time is going by really slowly and I'm pretty damn sleepy, having only got 2 hours sleep the night before. I actually went to sleep in the lobby of the hotel for a while lol. 10 o'clock (our cut off time) has come round and we feel we can't leave now after waiting this much time, he has to come back to the hotel at some point. So we wait another hour. The hour drags, some celebs walk around, we meet them but there is no excitement or joy in meeting them. 11 o'clock approaches and we decide lets just go home. One of my cousins needs to go to the loo, so he goes and we say we're leaving once he's back. Then walks in a really fair lady, for a moment we just thought its some gori, but another look and we see she's Indian, wait a second is that Anjali? OMG yes that is her, where's Sachin and then he walks in at 10:57!!!!, looking very dappa. We quickly run towards him to stop him, he quickly shakes hands and looks in a hurry to leave, but we can't leave without pics so we timidly ask him if he could spare a few moments for a few snaps while wishing him good luck for the WC and singing him praises. Wanted to ask more questions but couldn't hold him back knowing he must look forward to a bit of freedom when outside India. From a mention of meeting him in the afternoon with no hope of it happening to actually meeting him that same night :yay: http://imgur.com/KArnV.jpg - Goddy :adore::adore:
vaibhav_delhi Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Man....Lucky you . All tht wait well worth.

ShahidAfridi Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Is Imran Tahir your Goddy? :hmmm: No but he seems like a decent chap, Asked him about his international career and he replied " Sorry mate but im South African now" and at that point, he got booed so bad by the large Pakistani contingent at the Fish+Chips stall. Not as loud as Usman Khawaja at Headingly Carnegie Cricket Ground, Traitor was chanted on the terraces.
