Mariyam Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 So how did i meet my significant other? Hmm, here goes: It was late fall, a week after my birthday, October 14th to be exact. It was a stormy, rainy day. I waited for my friend, who is the manager of a Starbucks, at his store on 14th street, near Union Square (close to the Gandhi Statue). I was chatting with my friend on and off, when i noticed this gorgeous girl a few seats down from me. What initially caught my attention was the glitter in her hair, then just how stunning she was. Naturally, i pretended not to care, all the while eyeing her sideways. It was pretty clear she was waiting for someone; she kept checking her cell phone. She got a call, and i caught pieces of the conversation "dancing...what do you mean you can't make it...this sucks..." I noticed the dissapointment on her face. Heck, what was there to loose? So I slid over to her and asked her if everything was ok. She looked at me quizically. I asked if she had plans for the night (clearly she had been stood up by friends); i could tell she was a bit guarded. MY friend came over, and i introduced him to her, asking her name in the process. We started chatting, and this got her guard down. We went across the street later and caught a movie (my friend dave had the good sense to beg off). And what do you know, there were mice, yep, mice, in the movie theater. Before i knew it, i had her on my lap! The rest is history. :two_thumbs_up: :two_thumbs_up: :icflove:

Aaku Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I dunno where to post this but this is too good :hehe: Doc tries to kill lover’s boyfriend thrice, fails It was the third time in two years that Dr Ravindra Kumar had been attacked. But he escaped from the assailants’ bullets this time too. And like two previous instances, he believed it was over a property dispute that he was attacked on Wednesday in Rohini. However, police investigations later revealed that the culprit was his girlfriend, Dr Meenakshi. Police said Meenakshi and Ravindra knew each other for the past 15 years. But Meenakshi later fell in love with Dr Vinod Gupta. “They wanted to marry. But Meenakshi was under pressure from Ravindra as they were college friends. She wanted to get rid of him,†Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south) said. It was Gupta who then hired contract killers to kill Ravindra. On Wednesday, after Ravindra was attacked, Gupta and Meenakshi went to Meerut and got married as they thought Ravindra was dead. :hehe: But they were caught by police when they were on their way to Nainital for their honeymoon. And they had no idea how the evidence caught up with them.:cantstop: To make sure that Ravindra was killed the third time, Vinod had asked the killers to call him and make him hear the sound of a bullet being fired. The phone from which the call was made led to Vinod.:hysterical: The killers, in an attempt to flee, left it on the spot, which led to Vinod and the criminals, Harish (21), Amit (21), Umesh (30) and Pawan (30). All of them are from Uttar Pradesh. “The hired men were small-time criminals and it was the first time they were going to kill someone. They were to be paid R2.5 lakh, of which R2.25 lakh was to be paid after the incident,†Sharma said. Also, Gupta didn’t have the money to pay the killers, so he gave them fake notes. He had put one original note at the top of the bundle to misguide them.:giggle: Gupta had taken the criminals to the spot a day before the incident for recce. He had even purchased shoes, clothes and caps for criminals to change their appearance. Ravindra who had his clinic in Ghaziabad, has shifted to Rohini after being attacked twice. Since the killers had come from UP, Vinod took them in his car to take them for a recce. He even procured countrymade pistols and gave it to killers. He had got to know about these killers from a patient.:giggle: Ravindra on the other hand was never expecting Meenakshi to be behind this and had told police that property dispute could be the reason behind attack. “He escaped two attacks one in July 2009 and another in February 2010. Both cases were unsolved till now as Ravindra in his statement told police it could be property dispute. In fact to be on the safer side he had sold that disputed property in less price last year,†Sharma further said. Ravindra who is currently practicing at Wardhman hospital was shot at on Wednesday in front of the hospital.
