There are no rules like that just because it fits a traditional fantasy team line-up. If England's gameplan was to get a draw, having a strong lower order makes sense. There are no other good options anyway; Panesar is garbage.

That post is so abysmal it's not even worth responding to. Sri Lanka is helpful is it? UAE is helpful is it? What has Zaheer ever done outside of home? In fact, what has Zaheer got on ANderson in any regard. Higher average, higher strike rate, less wickets and is older. Go on.
A post full of lies!! What has Zaheer ever done outside of home? You do know that Anderson averages 37 away from home? Zaheer's away avg? 30. 191 away wickets vs 85 for Jimmy the legend lol Even the strike rate for Zak is better by a few decimal points! In SA, NZ, Aus Zaheer has a better average. In Eng the averages are almost similar ( 27.69 vs 27.96 for Zak)

Not really, because in these conditions your batsman > ours! what?! 1) Broad does well everywhere, in UAE, Srii Lanka, West Indies, England. Zaheer has only been proven in India. 2) If Steyn played for Bangladesh and there was an India Bangladesh series in India, and Yadav outbowled Steyn, is Yadav > Steyn? You're logic is confounding.
Meaningless logic which is not worth responding to. The fact of the matter is English bowlers suck in India simply because they are not good enough when the wicket is not assisting them. When there is no bounce or seam movement, they dont have the control or the skill to get wickets and usually bowl rubbish like they did all day today. Check out Zaheer's performance in the past on similar tracks. Anderson, Broad etc. are not even worth comparing to Zaheer.

^^ In Australia, NZ and India, Anderson averages 35+. In SA, he averages 38+ and you think he is comparable to Steyn. He is actually a mediocre bowler who becomes a bit more effective in helpful conditions at home against poor batsmen. Broad and Bresnan are even worse. Even at home, Anderson averages only 27+, including teams from SC who dont do well over there. Zaheer averages 27 in England against batsmen who play in those conditions all the time. Zaheer is clearly the better bowler.

Bresnan confident his bite is back

He has taken 13 County Championship wickets at 27.07 for Yorkshire this season and believes he is back "as good as ever" after having a piece of bone removed from his right elbow. But he is still expected to be the 12th man when the coin goes up and that is something he is desperate to change over the next few days. "I am not here to carry the drinks," he said. "I am here to play the game and throw my hat in the ring for selection. I think the next two days will tell the management and Cooky a lot about where I am at and what I can do. "I probably lost three or four yards of pace to be honest. I feel I have got that back. I can sit here and say whatever but it is just as easy to show everyone. I can spin a yarn and say it is all brilliant or I can just get on the park and show you what my pace is like. I have not been in front of a speed gun but it feels alright."

He lost pace in last season ' date=' read somewhere speed is up now.[/quote'] well he used to touch 90mph on a regular basis, but not a days operates at about 83-85 zone

but but pace is not important at all!
its not...never said it is. probably wont play v NZ as Broad Finn Anderson and Swann do the job. But will probably feature in the Ashes as i dont expect Broad to make it through the ashes without injury.
