I think they have proved a lot in this series esp. Anderson who has shown the control when it is not swinging. But I also think the Aus. batting has been nothing less than atrocious. And, the wickets have offered more than ever to my mind in last 15-20 years in terms of swing except adelaide

James Anderson has become more like Steyn, bowling at good pace and swinging both ways in all conditions with a good bouncer, if he keep going like this he will be handful to anybody who faces him.

I see where you are coming from, your criticism is fair. In relation to multi-culti countries like the UK or the US these kind of views (à la import etc) don't really make sense.

Maybe they are in bad form because Anderson has put them in bad form? Ponting certainly wasnt in bad form, had a decent series in India for his standards their, Hussey is in the form of his life, Haddin has been playing well. Only Clarke has been an epic fail for a while now but he got a ton vs Ind in an ODI. The less said about Hughes and Smith the better.

I am sorry? Do you believe that if India were to have bowled to this same Australian lineup they would have achieved the same or better results perhaps? Credit must be given where it needs to. Yes the Aussie batting is not what it used to be. But they still, as always, have their famous fighting spirit. And they have a few people who know what it is like to convert a game in their favour.
