Mamu Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 http://www.espncricinfo.com/the-ashes-2010-11/content/current/story/494663.html Thats that then huh?
DomainK Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Ricky Ponting out of Sydney Test CA is serious about leveling the series. Clarke will probably lead. http://www.espncricinfo.com/the-ashes-2010-11/content/current/story/494663.html
vvvslaxman Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 pakistan fan's adopted son Punter will be replaced by another Pakistan's adopted son Usman Khajwa.
punjabi_khota Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Oz don't play another test match for next 7 months !!!! :WTF:
Nova Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Well this was bound to happen. The broken finger deteriorated? :hmmm:... Is this true or just a sounds better than "Punter gets sacked". If Cricket Australia don't want him to play again, they should have him back to give him an official send-off. He at least deserves that.
Rajiv Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 pakistan fan's adopted son Punter will be replaced by another Pakistan's adopted son Usman Khajwa. ??? Don't get it
ravishingravi Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Well he was injured. I think it was selfish of him to play this test when he knew he wasn't 100%.
spectre Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 He is their poster boy to brag about any counter records against Indian top batsman (specially Sachin). As they dont have anyone of their own ??? Don't get it I am sure Ponting being Ponting, will come back all guns blazing. Good luck to one of the best batsman of modern times.
Hindustani Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Ponting has been one of the best of his generation for 3 years (~2002-04) but everyone declines and has to go, I still feels he has more to give to oz cricket considering the experience he has.
jibranpatel15 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Ponting Dropped for Final Test Breaking News: Ponting Dropped for Final Test Australia have left out their succesful captain for years for the final test against England where they will play for Pride to draw level but they won't get that tiny little trophy called ASHES. This has happened to australia for 1st time in 25 Years that they havve lost 2 Ashes on the trott. They have not named the New captain but its obvious that will be M.Clarke who is also struggling for runs in 2010.so no body knows who will be 43rd Captain in tests for australia then Selectors. Best choice as Steve Waugh suggested is Brad Haddin so lets see who they choose and also they delayed their squad annoincement but Khwaja is In 13 surely and Harris will miss out also.

You know the sh!t has hit the fan when they quitely disown their fav player. :--D Accha, I see..so when Ponting vs Pak - he becomes Soutela ( Evil Half Brother ) :hatsoff:

EnterTheVoid Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 This is sad. Such a great batsman should at least have got a farewell test.
DomainK Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 He hasn't been dropped!! He's injured! Actually, he could be. But a lot of fans would find it difficult to believe because of his form. His captaincy has been nothing special and with his arguments with the umpires, he has been more of a liability for Australia of late. So a drop would make a lot of sense.
jf1gp_1 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 If this is the end then what a sad end to such a spectacular career; hate him as much as you want he has been a true batting great of our time good luck aussies finding a replacement for ponting
fineleg Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Can be end of captaincy. But he will come back as a batsman. I dont think CSA will consider this as the end of him as a batsman. He still has a year or two left and he will be back without the captaincy thingy.
