rkt.india Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 We have seen better bowling spells from Steyn than this. His spell at Newlands against was the best bowling spell I have ever seen.

fineleg Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 Dale Steyn! Take a bow  Regarding Newlands - yes that was awesome, not sure Tendulkar was at the best form of his life, but he was very good in that period where he tackled a raging brilliant Dale Steyn.

Take a bow  Regarding Newlands - yes that was awesome, not sure Tendulkar was at the best form of his life, but he was very good in that period where he tackled a raging brilliant Dale Steyn. i started watching cricket late...missed 90's:giggle: for me that was tendulkar's best.. im just glad he played so well during that period..that was just epic batting and bowling dale steyn gave up on getting him out :giggle:
fineleg Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 Also want to state one more time - on this thread, Test Cricket - the real form. I so wish the quality of Indian Test cricket players (next generation) can be high class. We had the Dravids, Tendulkars, Laxmans and now we need the next generation quality players.

Lord Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 we are lucky to have pujara and kohli who want to do well in test cricket.. but not many people are interested in it ..which is just sad :(( even Jaddu n Raina want to do well:dontknow:
Old guy Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 even Jaddu n Raina want to do well:dontknow: skill to matters and we have seen many proper players transform technique for slogging not seen raina change technique for tests :vroam:
Lord Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 skill to matters and we have seen many proper players transform technique for slogging not seen raina change technique for tests :vroam: yes thats what I meant.u said Kohli wants to succeed, thats not enough,is it?atm even Ashwin is doing better:--D
vandokkum Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Best strike rate in the history of the game
Old guy Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 yes thats what I meant.u said Kohli wants to succeed' date='thats not enough,is it?atm even Ashwin is doing better:--D[/quote'] he got 100 in last test and has 100 in australia and very good 70 odd runs on tough perth track if he plays more tests at better position he will learn how to play test inning.. (i mean pace ) tbf im not worried about him or pujara its openers which give me scare

Old guy Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 both Adelaide n Nagpur were pattas.Perth knock was only good one he hasn't convinced me as a Test player yet.Pujara obviously has he has shown plenty of times that he belongs sooner or later performance will come too he should actually bat with pujara more often he knows exactly when to play shot and go for runs and when not :p
Lord Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 he has shown plenty of times that he belongs sooner or later performance will come too he should actually bat with pujara more often he knows exactly when to play shot and go for runs and when not :p thing is Virat was included in Test team on basis of ODIs like Raina.he hasnt done much even in FC.doesnt even have a double ton.Thankfully hes done better than Raina n Yuvraj, but still long way to go,he seems confused about how to go about a Test innings and Tests are no place to learn.I dont think he went on any A tour too Pujara OTOH had done brilliantly in FC making big scores which is why he looks more assured in Tests. He even went on A tours.even Rohit and Rahane had done better than Virat in FC and deserved a spot before him if we just went by FC. Virat can come good but lot more work to be done. P.S. before KT comes,I dont want him to be dropped from the team:giggle:
Old guy Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 virat has not played much fc cricket but whenver he played he performed well
Lord Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 virat has not played much fc cricket but whenver he played he performed well yes he didnt play enough FC cricket to be ready for Tests imo.and he didnt do that well.as I said, not even one double ton, where even guys like Jaddu and other Kohli has triples
Lord Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 brilliant.. just brilliant :rolf: he doesnt play long enough innings:dontknow:
