vvvslaxman Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Since Australian series in 2009 Yuvi has scored. 23, 78, 12, 9, 6, 23, 74, 1, 8*, 13, 0, 5, 38, 6, 26, 58, 42, 16*, 20, 42*, 2 Average of 27.88 in the last 22 matches with just 3 fifties. Coming in at no.4 you expect a bit more from Yuvraj. Hope he finds his touch again this series.
Late Cut Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Not surprising- the guy has expired faster than old milk. Shows you that talent without effort means nothing, no matter how much you talk yourself up.
Asoka Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Had such a lot of talent,he is responsible for what he has become 2day.
Ravi. Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He should work hard.I hope he finds his form soon.
Late Cut Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He is pretty much the modern day version of Sandeep Patel. He is already over the hill to find and maintain form for any length of time; in cricket years he is older than Dravid or Tendulkar.
The Realist Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Yuseless has been proved to be out of his depth in test cricket and his performances in odi have been going downhill for a while. He's just living off past deeds and unless he shapes up its time to ship him out and try other players.
kabira Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He is still vital cog in our wheel, in form Yuvi in WC will be dangerous and he has been bowling well as well. We need his batting form badly.
Andy Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Can we have someone else ahead of him please? He is a Walking wicket this days. I hope he stays away from the team for some Time for his own good and Pull of One SCG.
cowboysfan Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 We really need Yuvi to get back in form quickly before the world cup,I trust him more than the yusuf and dhoni in a chase.
kooljatt Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 We really need Yuvi to get back in form quickly before the world cup' date='I trust him more than the yusuf and dhoni in a chase.[/quote'] :icflove: thanks for the support bruv ! he will be back , trust me !!!:two_thumbs_up:
The Outsider Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Yuvraj needs to play an innings with God at the crease during this series and he will be back.
kooljatt Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Yuvraj needs to play an innings with God at the crease during this series and he will be back. yh, i agree ! he feels more comfortable batting with Sachin and obviously Goddy's advice boosts his confidence. he just need one innings ! just that one damn innings ! i see nothing wrong with him, hes hitting the ball well, hopefully he will get a big one in next match
fineleg Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 There are contenders like Virat Kohli (and Rahane in future) for Yuvi's slot, but Yuvi's ability to bowl 5-7 overs and also the fact that he can be a game changer if he clicks will keep him in the plans for WC2011. But the WC2011 will be make or break for Yuvi. If he does not score lot of runs in WC, then after the WC - his ODI spot may be up for grabs. I dont think the rope will run longer than WC2011. As such, he has lost the Test spot for now.
Anakin Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 UV looks slimmer than before, I'm sure he'll be back soon.
spectre Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Its depressing to see this supremely talented guy drifting away He is the most important player for the WC, I am desperate to see him hitting good form before the WC. There is no contender for Yuvi, he should play all matches till the WC
Jadoo Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Pray he hits some form in this series, when in form he really is awesome to watch, and could be the difference between us winning and losing the world cup.
vvvslaxman Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 He won 3 man of the series in a row if i remember right. He was such a dependable guy along with Dhoni while chasing. More than Sachin, he has to form one of those famous partnership with Dhoni. Come one let us have a ODI series with pakistan
Laaloo Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Rohit Sharma's career average is 29! What does that have to do with this thread?
