ZodiaC Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 LOL@people who think kohli might not play.. Kohli should make it comfortably to the side now. Tendulkar Sehwag Gambhir Kohli Yuvi Dhoni Raina Bhajji Praveen Zaheer Ashwin/Munaf
Sachin=GOD Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Why is Raina a lock? because he has been the best no 6 in the entire world in the last 2 years in ODIs: http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?batting_positionmax1=6;batting_positionmin1=6;batting_positionval1=batting_position;class=2;filter=advanced;orderby=runs;spanmin1=15+Jan+2009;spanval1=span;template=results;type=batting
rahulrulezz Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 If someone even thinks of dropping Raina, he should be shot dead on his head and stabbed right away... The guy is only genuine matchwinner in our middle order
vvvslaxman Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 If someone even thinks of dropping Raina' date=' he should be shot dead on his head and stabbed right away... The guy is only genuine matchwinner in our middle order[/quote'] Raina is a must on any conditions for ODI let alone Indian conditions.
Sachinism Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Why is Raina a lock? :omg: Raina has done more than enough to be guaranteed a place in the side especially when playing in Indian conditions
spectre Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 :two_thumbs_up: though i would have put it in a more subtle way If someone even thinks of dropping Raina' date=' he should be shot dead on his head and stabbed right away... The guy is only genuine matchwinner in our middle order[/quote']
pensionplan Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 If someone even thinks of dropping Raina' date=' he should be shot dead on his head and stabbed right away... [/quote']What do you have against people who like Test cricket?
flamy Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 ok ok But, Kohli has to be there in the 11. The lad has been brilliant.
yoda Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Good news is that we seem to have a really solid set of players at the batting dept in ODIs which is why guys like Kohli/Raina/Yousuf/Rohit have to fight for 2 spots. OTH, we are just one injury away from having just an extra option.
flamy Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 The world cup is a month away, so it's all good. :coolsun:
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 If someone even thinks of dropping Raina' date=' he should be shot dead on his head and stabbed right away... The guy is only genuine matchwinner in our middle order[/quote'] wow, shot dead AND stabbed? i dont think a guy would feel the stabbing after being shot dead ? the stabbing would just be purely academic... raina the only GENUINE matchwinner? as opposed to guys like dhoni, yuvraj, kohli, yusuf etc. who are all FAKE matchwinners? :giggle:
sudheer kumar Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Every one knows the answer Sachin&sehwag will open the innings Gauti at no.3 Virat at no.4 Yuvi at no.5 Dhoni at no.6 Raina/Yousuf at no.7
Sachin=GOD Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 ^Raina is a complete certainty in the team and the final batsman's spot will be between Kohli and Yusuf.
Sid Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 If anyone Kohli should be a certrainity in the side and play Raina at no.7,Yusuf has no place in this side,He is not much better bowler than Raina and I shouldnt even compare their batting
urbestfriend Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Gauti Tendu Sehwag Dhoni UV Raina Yusuf Bhajji .. As far ass opening Sachin and Gauti should open ( R-L combination ) and Viru should come 1 down. I really feel Dhoni should come up the order so that he can play his own game as he has become more of grafter these days and his slow batting wouldn't hurt the team. UV and Raina are shot makers so I'd play them at 5 and 6.
sudheer kumar Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 ^Raina is a complete certainty in the team and the final batsman's spot will be between Kohli and Yusuf. There is competition between RAINA,KOHLI,YOUSUF But.... Kohli become most promising batsmen in the squad Raina's current form is equal to Yousuf's regular form That's why Competition is only for Raina and YOusuf
urbestfriend Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 There is competition between RAINA,KOHLI,YOUSUF But.... Kohli become most promising batsmen in the squad Raina's current form is equal to Yousuf's regular form That's why Competition is only for Raina and YOusuf Raina is definitely going to play. No issue with his form as you make out, its just that he is coming way too down and can't score 50's and 100's like Kohli but if he comes at top, he'll also make big scores. His bowling skills makes him better bet than Kohli. Competition is between Kohli and Yusuf, But i have a feeling that there'll be at least one injury which means both of them will play.
acharya Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 yusuf pathan should be in the 11 - otherwise what's the use of selecting him? On indian wickets he can make the difference blasting away in the last few overs
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 kohli is not going to play if india have everyone fit. thats a shame, because the guy is one of the best batsman in the world at the moment and in really good form. he would be a great guy to have in a chase as well tendulkar sehwag gambhir yuvraj dhoni raina yusuf is going to be the batting lineup that starts vs bangladesh
Raghav_12 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 yusuf pathan should be in the 11 - otherwise what's the use of selecting him? By that logic, all 15 should be in playing 11 :--D:--D
