msb1991 Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Unadkat not doing anything spectacular Because he seems to rely entirely on 'seam movement' which you won't get much of in India.
coffee_rules Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Andhra beats Telengana!!! http://www.espncricinfo.com/indiandomestic2010/engine/current/match/471523.html
vvvslaxman Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 wasn't hyderabad skittled out for 21 runs recently in Ranji trophy? man they have turned into an utter crap team. Time to merge both teams. They don't deserve seperate teams.
ludhianvi Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 ^^yep that game was how chahar got into the limelight Saw an interview where Irfan was mentioning his eagerness to comeback into the Indian team and all the hard work he's done and how he cried a couple of times at not being in the team. And now get's injured in his game ... tough luck for Pathan
Cricketics Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Punjab defeats Delhi by 19 runs at Mohali. Inder and Sidhana both scored hundered for Punjab. Narwal scored some runs again. Highest scorer for Delhi with 62. Good victory for Punjab this.
kabira Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Pujara back for Saurashtra and they start to win...
vvvslaxman Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Uthappam and Vijay maul domestic bowlers again. I think on flat pitches Vijay and Uthappam do better.
saneindian Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Uthappa 86 in 54 ball..Looks to be some awesome hitting form off late.
vvvslaxman Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Uthappa 86 in 54 ball..Looks to be some awesome hitting form off late. He is a definite game changer. Any injury to anybody he should be the first to get a look in .
vvvslaxman Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Couldn't he get the attention of selectors prior to selection? This guy would have been a good addition when you consider the form of our middle order. What the eff is chawla doing there.
Sachinism Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 Chawla has had a decent 1st class season. Bowling a better these days
vvvslaxman Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Chawla has had a decent 1st class season. Bowling a better these days I very much doubt he is going to be playing. Bhajji will be the lone specialist spinner.
Sachinism Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 If we get tracks that turn like this, don't see the harm in playing two specialist spinners
pensionplan Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 After 11-month layoff, Irfan suffers injury again Tushar Tere, TNN, Feb 11, 2011, VADODARA: Left-arm seamer Irfan Pathan's attempts at a comeback after a gap of 11 months suffered a huge setback when he suffered a hamstring injury playing for Baroda against Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare West Zone Trophy at Motibaug ground on Thursday. Irfan could bowl only 17 balls before he started facing pain in his left knee. The incident again raised doubts about Irfan's fitness. The player has been out of action since last year's IPL. He stopped midway through a delivery in his third over and returned back to his run-up mark, tried to bowl again but went down on the ground in pain as the team physio rushed to treat him. After a while, Irfan was seen limping out of the ground and did not play the rest of the match. "Irfan has pulled his hamstring. It is not clear yet how serious it is. It is bound to happen as he is playing after a long period," said a Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) official. Irfan had told TOI ahead of the IPL 4 auction in January that he had recovered from his back injury and would make a comeback in the Ranji one-dayers. The young team is heavily banking on the all-rounder. When Baroda were batting, he was bowled for a duck by Mumbai spinner Iqbal Abdullah off the second ball he faced. All this clamor for Irfan Pathan across forums yet this guy has not found a way to get over the injury blues as bad as one may feel for him. Unfortunately staying injury free and being fit are a big part of the game and to that end looks like it is not totally unreasonable to ask the question will he ever be good enough to be threat as a fast bowling option at the FC level leave alone at the Test match level. As of now I say not. "Irfan has pulled his hamstring. It is not clear yet how serious it is. It is bound to happen as he is playing after a long period," said a Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) official.Hmm..ok..Whatever the hell that means. I pretend to have not read that.
pensionplan Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Uthappa 86 in 54 ball..Looks to be some awesome hitting form off late. The man is IPL ready.
pensionplan Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 What about R.P Singh. Didn't check his stats' date=' [b']but regardless of how he would have bowled, I believe he is still one of the better bowlers in India. May be better than Nehra and Munaf too. Yes, surely he hasn't done anything perhaps to be selected anytime soon, but how is going these days?So he could be dishing out crap but you would still consider him as one of the better bowlers in India. Nice.
Chandan Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Did anyone notice this match: http://www.espncricinfo.com/indiandomestic2010/engine/current/match/471532.html Chasing down 206 runs when the team was down 45/5 and scoring 96 runs and before that taking 4 wickets for 28 runs including the top scorer of the opposition---what on earth happens to this guy in the international matches? Is he turning into a domestic beast or something?
