CSK Fan Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 I dont know whats the point of making such a bowler friendly wicket for practice match considering the fact that world cup will be played on flat subcontinent wicket.This pitch is more favourable to australia soo no surprise that they are dominating us now.Maybe curator is preparing us for england tour.Maybe he thinks same way as i think(giving more importance to eng tour than worldcup). I dont know which match you were watching but there wasnt much for the fast bowlers. The assistance Aus bolwers got were despite the pitch and they would get that on any pitch in the world with their pace

Well it maybe true we don't see those wkts but they have played on and said so. It might be true as we saw non of INDIAN grounds were ready before time so that might have caused them to say like that. They also said that it will surely improve as the tournament starts & thay didn't complain about that they just gabe out their view on WKT.

Both OZ and SA are sh!t against spin.

I hope it turns square right from ball one and let saffers, aussies, kiwis, english b*tch, moan and whine about the "unhelpful", "non-sporting" and "minefield" pitches. We don't get any favors when we travel to SA, Aus, Eng or NZ so why should we care about the whiners? As long as the surface and conditions for both the teams are the same, that should be good enough. I wish we play saffers or aussies on a turning track with India opening with spin and blowing away the opponent and then Smith/Ponting moaning & b*tching about the pitch after being thrashed :)

He took it in his stride saying our youngsters are not very good players of spin. And talking about useless pitches... what would you term the one we got in Centurion on Day 1?? That was a truck load of sh!t.... And either ways, even in SA we had 2 one-dayers where chasing a score around 200 made the match competitive. And that's exactly what's gonna happen in these types of pitches. The only difference being the importance of pace and bounce as compared to spin and bounce on our pitches.

If its green and they get us out for 200, its a great seaming wicket, their bowlers bowled well and our batsmen are FTBs. But if it turns, its suddenly a substandard wicket. Fk them. We had very low scoring pitches in SA and in most of the games the team winning the toss got a huge advantage. Infact, without winning the tosses, SA would have lost that series. That 1st test pitch was a tragedy, not the ones in India.

Do you think a magic fairy will then erase the Internets of all the South Africans whinging ? No Indian player whinged before the test series in SA. 1st test pitch was horrible and was basically win toss, win the game type of pitch.We lost.We got the pace bowlers equivalent of a square turner in the 2nd test, which we won even after losing a similar toss. Squared series and no whining about the pitch.
