Asoka Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Smith slams Chepauk wicket as 'under-prepared' "The wicket was pretty slow and dead. The wickets probably will get slower and slower. Tonight there were a few things. There was quite a lot of dew and it is a bit disappointing considering there'll be a lot of day-night games played in these conditions." Seriously WTF. Just because it isn't a greentop, it doesn't mean that it is an underprepared wicket. Why do these bastards complain about slow and turning pitches? Just because RSA has never produced a half decent tweaker in its choking history and they cannot play spin to save their lives isn't the Chepauk curator's fault. Would be wonderful to see the Asian teams crushing these whiners.
satyam1729 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Preparing for execuse for World cup exit.

don_corleone840 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Is curator preparing us for england tour?? I dont know whats the point of making such a bowler friendly wicket for practice match considering the fact that world cup will be played on flat subcontinent wicket. This pitch is more favourable to australia soo no surprise that they are dominating us now.Maybe curator is preparing us for england tour.Maybe he thinks same way as i think(giving more importance to eng tour than worldcup).
Sachinism Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Yeh with the world cup next week the curator decided to help us prepare for the England tour Why does there have to be silly excuses for a lackluster performance
fineleg Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Its not like the curator has given Durban here. Pitch is alright. Cmon - if these batsmen cannot even play in this bangalore pitch, they dont deserve to be called top class Intl batsmen!!

vvvslaxman Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Bangalore wicket is always like this. Even in IPL all the sloggers were exposed at Bangalore. Uthappa played well there though.
urbestfriend Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 There is nothing wrong with the pitch, pitch is alright  Moreover I dont think BCCI has a say in preparing the pitch, curator directly works under ICC's supervision for ICC matches.

ICC works under BCCI supevision for all India matches :winky:
Sachin=GOD Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 ICC works under BCCI supevision for all India matches :winky: yeah right, the BCCI was even behind the bans on Pakistan's 3 innocent cricketers :secret:
Desi Cartman Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 the curators must have shaved the grass off during the break
zen Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Possible positives from this game: 1. Everyone in the 11 got to bat :giggle: 2. OZ bowling is similar to Eng's 3. Sree appears focused and is running in like a fast train :nice: 4. Yuvi and Raina continue disappoint, so Kohli and YP's chance of being in the eleven have brightened up Let's see how the spinners bowl. If one of Ashwin and Chawla looks to be in decent form, then may be Ind could afford to go in with 5 bowlers vs playing one of struggling Yuvi and Raina. What's the point in wasting a slot for a few fill-in overs and 20 odd runs.

zen Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Let's not forget that after the thrashing we got from Aus in 2003, we woke up and picked up our game .... Hoping that similar thing happens this time :--D
