Sachinism Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Well done, becoming more effective these days Outbowling Bhaji on numerous occasions
SachDan Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Back-to-back 50's for The Prince..he's definitely getting there, which means bowlers have the luxury of affording 20-30 runs more :yay: Also picked up a five-fer today. Becomes the first player to score a 50 and five-fer in a world cup match!! Now Bhajji can continue throwing his darts without any fear :)
Sid Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 All rounder in the making, just needs to improve his batting :P
Aaku Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Woh waapas aayega.... Pavilion mey.... JALDI:hysterical: . Kuch kaha ? :--D Awesomeee yuviiiiiiiiiiiiiiii :icflove:
Ranjha Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Shabaash Paaji! This is just the beginning I hope..We will need him in full form whn the worldcup starts on march 23rd.
zubinpepsi Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I hope he maintains this.. we need him to be in great form..
kooljatt Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Responsible knock from Sixer Kinng. He was biting his time in the middle. This time spent in the middle will come handy in next matches.
HowardRoark Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Well played Yuvi, that was a mature innings.Team India needs him in fluent form for the big matches.
Lord Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 very good innings.took the reswponsibility.now we need him to be back to his six hitting ways
Manny_Pacquiao Posted March 6, 2011 Author Posted March 6, 2011 not a great innings, he just went through the motions and did enough to finish the job but we saw a few glimpses of what this guy can do. that short arm flick for four with no follow through was an unbelievable shot, took off like a rocket. his timing is starting to come back. today was all about getting some time in the middle, and he has spent some time there in back to back matches. i think a big one isnt far away. we might see it against SA or WI.
Sachinism Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Just what was needed (well apart from a better bowling attack) - a performing UV
ludhianvi Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Man of the Match with useful bowling and a handy knock with the bat :yess: With respect to the batting style, he's mentioned a few times that he's looking to play out the overs and trying to stay till the end to finish the matches.
Jadoo Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Good innings by UV especially with the top order not clicking today. Took on the responsibility of finishing the game. Slowly but surely he is getting there, lets pray he peaks in the final
yoda Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Very impressed with his bowling. So he is the real all rounder in the team.
zen Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Appears as if Yuvi could be taking over from Ganguly as the new minnow basher .... His batting reminded me of Ganguly's against Kenya in 2003 WC when he took Ind home :--D
Manny_Pacquiao Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 for those who dont remember, this is what yuvraj is like when he is in form so damn good, its scary. [ame= - Yuvraj singh's 87 vs Newzealand[/ame] look at those last two shots. a short arm jab, no follow-through, flying into the stands. and then the one where he hangs a six off the clouds
