Sid Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Kohli will sit out :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
CSK Fan Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I woudnt mind whoever plays' date=' but FFS, Yuvi is NEEDED when it comes to big games against SA & ENG. u can't keep matchwinners out of the side for long. Yes he has been not at his best, but how many matches has raina won against big sides like SA & Aus etc. ?[/quote'] On Indian pithces, Raina can score against anyone
Sachin=GOD Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Kohli will sit out :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: what next - Gambhir and Zaheer to sit out :giggle:
Silva Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I think Raina came in to bat because it was the 38th over. Yuvi probably would of came in had Kohli or gambhir got out Before the 35th over or something.
vvvslaxman Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: what next - Gambhir and Zaheer to sit out :giggle: Tendulkar will sit out along with Viru. :winky:
The Outsider Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Raina will sit out. It'll be impossible for the team to bowl 12-15 overs from the fifth bowler without Yuvraj. I've been reiterating this point so many times, but some posters just don't see the fact that India needs to bowl 50 overs as well.
Jersey #10 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 UV is an excellent part time bowler and a gustsy batsman. Raina is a hitter and a finisher. I don't see where Kohli fits in as we already have stroke players in Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir. It would be very tough to bowl 50 overs without UV chipping in, especially on these spin friendly pitches.
coffee_rules Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Yuvraj will play as a part-time bowler who could bat a little. Pathan and Kohli affected the eqn with their recent form.
Silva Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Kohli has proven how valuable he is. Look at it this way, we where able to score 360 runs despite sehwag and tendulkar getting out cheaply and without Pathan making a major contribution because Kohli and Gambhir kept kiwi bowlers in check when they came in at 3 and 4 and where able to play aggressive cricket without taking high risks. Why are people ignoring Yuvis bowling by the way?
Ultimate_Game Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Folks, Yuvi is a certainty IMO... Yuvi didn't come in early today as Dhoni wanted to see which ones out of Kohli and Raina to drop. We need Yuvraj's 10 overs in the subcontinent especially since we are going with only 4 bowlers.
Jadoo Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Tough one, fortunately we don't have to call it. Hope Dhoni plays it by opposition. Would feel far more confortable to see Yuvraj against the likes of Aus and England, and Raina and Pathan against the sub-continental teams.
ZodiaC Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Yuvi has been one of our best spinners lately. So hard to drop him. Raina to sit out imo
Ranjha Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 What an idiotic thread lmao. Dhoni said after game that Yuvi is a match winner and excellent part time bowler and Raina will sit out. Remember my thread a month ago...Raina must sit out. Guess what...That's what will happen-:)
vishalvirsingh Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Yeah' date=' Raina playing a cracking knock today probably means he has guaranteed himself a place in starting 11 on 19th. Yuvi will have to sit out I reckon.[/quote'] I agree raina is playing ahead of UV....and dhoni asked all others to bat ahead of UV...its quite clear.
achilles Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Its ridiculous to "rest" him. Yuvraj's record speaks for him. What has Raina done to get picked ahead of Yuvraj? Scored a 50 off 26? Yuvi's scored the FASTEST 50 in World Cricket = 12 balls. Raina hits 6s? Yuvi's hit 6 in 6 balls.
desi pride 1234 Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Should sreesanth play in the playing 11 tomorrow ? who should be our second seamer? after watching nehra in the warmup matches, i doubt he would play in any of the matches:haha:. i would go for sreesanth. we can use munaf as a third seamer(if we play a third seamer). honestly sree deserves a place in the playing 11.
Dinx - the Jinx Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 No. zak and Nehra should be the 2 seamers and Bajji and Chawla should be spinners playing this match I dont want a 3rd seamer. If needed let Kohli bowl
Sachin=GOD Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Definitely not. I think it will be Zak and Munna.
Cricketics Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Na no sreesanth. Kohli is the real bowler. He is like nathan astle. Can chip in with lot of overs.
