IMO there are 2 mistakes ICC has made with the WC: * Top 2 teams from each group should have competed in the semis. If higher ranked teams miss out then its their performance. Whats the point of topping the group ? * Schedule is crazy , they could have easily wrapped up group games in half the time, 3 days should be more than enough.

The WC tournament is flawed I already know who the quarterfinalists will be. Whats up with these meaningless games for more than a month. The WC starts March 23 when the quarter finals begin. Rest is just BS.

Win 3 games in a row and win the WC which is not bad but these meaningless games before are ruining everything. I am losing interest in this WC. There should only be 8 teams in 50 over WC.

I prefer super 6s or the format in the 92 world cup. If there was a super 6 round or a round-robin league, every match would count and we would be spared these irrelevant games the first month or so.

This is the flagship tournament show-casing cricket to the rest of the world and this is how ICC organizes it? I have never been an IPL fan but this tourney is longer and boring than even IPL! If such a fiasco happened in any organization, CEO would definitely take the fall but I can see Sharad Pawar and rest of his cronies at ICC back-slapping and congratulating themselves post wrld-cup.

I dont like this format much... easy 1st round but face knockout right away... few bad overs can trigger your exit..

I agree that this format is total POS. Very few good games between a bunch of totally useless ones and then we have a grand total of 7 games after that to decide the winner. WTF!

The format was fixed before Pawar took over.
