hari504504 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Forget phaast bowlers.. where are the spinners ? . .for a long time Kumble effectively covered our weakness. But looks like we are badly exposed in this WC. England seem to be on course to a ~350 chase. Can we honestly say we can see this team progressing beyond the QF ?
Sid Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Absolutely pathetic ...........................................................
pakexpress Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 and Harby is being compare to Afridi who has taken 9 wics so far in this world cup. harby has taken 1 wic so far..way to go
Karan114 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Conceding 340 against England at home is a real low even for our bowlers :(( They can talk about winning the World Cup for Sachin all they want, but as we're seeing today, even when he powers us to a huge score we can't win with this shoddy bowling and fielding.
hari504504 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 on the bright side..a shoddy world cup showing could almost certainly mean curtains for Sreesanth and Harbhajan in ODIs..
Asoka Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 This is why you need Sreesanth-a genuine wicket taker.
Andy Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Pathetic to say the least, we are not going beyond the quarters.
vvvslaxman Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Ashwin must play in all the matches from here on. This bhajji, bonda are waste.
Sooda Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Why did they not appeal twice for ct behind for Strauss? Is it seriously so hard to tell out there. I mean surely the players would know if the batter snicked it right? Theyd have more of an idea than commies!
Ranvir Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 If Bangladesh scored almost 300 against India thenthis really isn't that surprising. India were good in 2003 because they had two strike who bowled 140 - 145kph consistently.
Utalk Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 In hindsight they should have score more.360+.
Ranvir Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Yeah they did collapse a bit towards the end.
Andy Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 In hindsight they should have score more.360+. How many times do you see a Side score 360+? If you cant win or defend 26-270 against Bangles and 340 against Poms You dont deserve to win the title.
hari504504 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 In hindsight they should have score more.360+. Even that won't be enough..
Clarke Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 The alarm bells have started ringing .. not a single drop of water to any pitch we play on. Set up parabolic reflectors directed towards a greenhouse on the wicket when its not in use.
hari504504 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 One must being to question the logic of having both Yuvraj and Pathan in XI.. either one of them can do the required job batting-wise
Sooda Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 ^Possibly. Maybe replace YP with another seamer in Nehra.
The Realist Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 If Bangladesh scored almost 300 against India thenthis really isn't that surprising. India were good in 2003 because they had two strike who bowled 140 - 145kph consistently. Yeah but the sad fact is that the current "attack" is almost the 2003 bowling line up, 8 years later, but now just old and past it :hysterical:
hari504504 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 ^Possibly. Maybe replace YP with another seamer in Nehra. I'd be inclined towards a spinner - Ashwin with his repertoire of carrom balls Our seamers are of ... quality. IF Zaheer can't do the job, chances are others will get slaughtered as well
Utalk Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Lack of wicket taking pacer in the middle must be the main worry.India lack a styen,Lee or shoaib with the older ball.
