I think Nehra and Ashwin should get chance in place of YP and Chawla.. But if you bowl length deliveries, you're asking for trouble..

I think Raina, Ashwin and Nehra will get chance..UV, YP & PC might sit out.. Indian fielding is not looking good..Zak, Nehra, Munna, Ashwin, Bhajji, Gauti, UV, Viru and even Sachin (can't blame him). Did I missed anybody?

I dont think they will sit UV out ,then sending him above Kohli in the last game would make no sense aned neither will Pathan miss out and Ya Nehra will definately come into the side :((

I feel Kohli is a bit redudant there... need some hitters like yusuf r raina.. but then again kohli is the in-form guy among the middle order guys.. so not really lookin good for india

Lower middle order batting is weak ? You want someone like Don Bradman or Viv Richards there ? Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni, Pathan, Raina or anyone who they pick is good enough for any bowling attack. Its the bowling which is a concern for India but I have a feeling they are getting into the groove.

Fk the 5 bowler theory..Its easy to look at Pathans and Yuvi's figures and say they are bad but if they are compared to other bowlers, they are better than some of our bowlers. We were losing when we had 5 bowlers or 4 bowlers + jadeja a couple of years back. Why go back to it?

The problem is quality not quantity. The 5th specialist bowler isnt going to do any better than the part time spinners. They all suck equally bad.

Is Nehra a Shane Bond? Why so much talk about him like he will take Indian bowling to another level. He has been one of the worst fast bowler for India in last few series and has not been looking good rhythm.

What combination to go for depends upon pitch, opposition and the the form Indian players are in. Considering these factors, it's not a bad idea at all to try out the 6+5 combination in the next 2-3 games. Based on the results, we can then finalize the combination for the KO games from the last group game against the WI. The X1 below would be pretty good: - Sachin - Sehwag - Gambhir - Kohli - Yuvi / Pathan / Raina - Dhoni - Ashwin / Chawla - Bhajji - Zak - Munaf - Sree / Nehra :nice:

Yuvi wont be dropped. He is not an option but a mandatory player in the lineup unless he really screws up 2-3 games in a row.

For that he has to win the toss :P The B'lore pitch is good throughout the game but it appears as if it gets slightly gets better in the 2nd half for batting. But anyways, the foremost thing is to go out their and play good cricket. Winning the toss is something that we cannot control but yeah we do control how we play the game and that's where the focus should be If Ind plays attacking cricket both w/ the bat and the ball, then I don't see why it can't win this world cup. Ind has the ingredients to win this tournament :nice:
