You are an idiot Ashwin would be fighting for Chawla's spot don't know where Bhaji came into the picture So will Chawla secure a spot by picking wickets against minnows Holland?
Sachinism..No name calling members please..Just because you are an Admin here doesn't means you go name calling members..

I didn't call you an idiot because I'm an admin, I said it because you are an idiot. The topic has nothin to do with Bhaji, but you felt the need to drag him in and then bring up his business relationship with Dhoni like you do in half the threads you post in.

42.6 Chawla to Borren, SIX, another six here. Borrn has ruined Chawla's :hehe: figures by taking 17 off the final over. This was more of a damage control ball. Flat and full on middle and leg, Borren again swept with power, getting the shot to fly away over midwicket. Fiercely powerful hit. 42.5 Chawla to Borren, SIX, Borren has dumped Chawla over long on. Such a free-spirited slog, he just seemed to enjoy lacing into the length ball. Turning away from off and middle, Borren gets the front foot across and thwacks it with a crossed bat over the straight field. As Ravi Shastri would say, "That went, many a mile." 42.4 42.1 Chawla to Kruger, FOUR, friendly full toss from Chawla to begin the Powerplay, and Kruger gleefully dumps it through the covers after strutting out of the crease. It came at a nice hitting height too.

Yaar Dhoni is between the devil and the deep blue sea here. If he had brought in Ashwin and he had performed badly, everyone would be accusing him of bias towards CSK players. though I agree that Ashwin should be played now in light of continuous bad performances by Chawla, neither Dhoni or anyone else had the benefit of hindsight at the beginning of the cup and any bowler can have an off day on flat tracks.

Chawla bowled nicely today...Good decision by Dhoni to play him. This thread FAILS Why change winning combination? Ashwin must warm the bench for now. Genuine leg spinner will always come handy.

Picks Chawla against Netherlands!!!, Like Sidhu says "Is this a charity system?" Just becos MSD says "R Ashwin has more mental strength" he can be dropped and Chawla picked, and Ashwin can straight away play against SA? What Dhoni does is like a stubborn mule. And we can add stupid as well. I give up on this Craptain Cool Here after, I shall refer to MSD as Craptain Cool Irrespective of how Chawla does today, this is a CRAPPY team selection!
+++1. Now, chawla thinks he's a hero for getting 2 wickets against the minnows Netherlands... SA and WI will set him and his guruji right !

Ashwin brigade needs to calm dowm. Ojha shouldve been picked ahead of chawla based on performances...but chawla got good match practises now and looking to get in good form so we must persist with him.

It looks like ashwin is dhoni's secret weapon' date=' he will unleash ashwin during ipl4![/quote'] :cantstop: Dhoni first supported Jadeja and now Chawla. Its a good thing to back your bowler, but not when you have a option of playing a better bowler.

some ignorance here. The big wickets are going to come thru the legspinner! but legspinning is a very difficult art and they take longer to develop. so to have a leg spinner is very important.but they prove costly if they don't show the exemplary control of warne. l have no confidence in left arm spinners, its good they did away with ojha. to have a legspinner is most important NOW and In the future as well. the team management is right at trying a leg spinning option! the off spinner as you see is not penetrative enough without the freakish action of murali.

Yeah right.... DURING the WC:rolleyes:....... After all getting the Leg-spinner upto snuff is more important than winning the WC !

do you first of all understand why munaf is out of the team? the lack of wickets is hurting. Munaf and harbhajan are more tight but they do no take wickets and that is hurting. that's precisely why they are banking on the leg spinner to take wickets by tightening his line more in the matches to come. taking wickets(more than the current rate) obviosuly is important to our winning the WC. the highest wicket taker currently is afridi, who was not a decent spinner until 2004.
