Bangladesh fans leave the stadium

like everyone here I was thrilled to see Bangladesh pull off a stunning victory over the English. my hats off to them :hatsoff: but as the winning runs were scored I remembered all of those Bangladesh fans who left the stadium after their team slumped to 169-8 I doubt many of them got back in time to watch the finish and to be honest it was disappointing a team needs support even when they are stumbling and fickle fans are, in my opinion, hardly fans at all cricket is a game where the tide can change in a single ball, and fans would do well to remember that to be honest, I think it perfect punishment for the deserters that they didn't get to see such a great victory does anyone here share my opinion?

You should never ever leave a game before it ends(in any sport)-its not over till its over.
stampede is a huge concern in the subcontinent, mind you ...when you are almost sure that your team is not going to win , at least make sure you reach home safe . I almost got killed in just a 6-8 k gathering recently , people act crazy here some times .

Agree with the OP. As I pointed out in the match thread SL fans didn't leave MCG when we were 107/8 chasing 240. In the end Malinga and Mathews gave them the entertainment they deserved and SL won the match. On this occasion Eng's best bowlers on these conditions were almost finished, and I knew there was always a chance that James Anderson to f**** up in the end of an ODI like this.

Reminds me of this quote that is apt for Bangladesh and Ireland teams, "I don't think anything is unrealistic if you believe you can do it." Although unrealistic the players have nothing to lose in believing they can lift the world cup. Rest may laugh but a positive feel like that can certainly help them fight and even if they lose they will do so gracefully.

Boy he did that in style :haha: 4 wides' date=' 1 wide, 1 wide....[/quote'] :cantstop:.. feel sorry for Andrew Strauss.. worst ODI bowler ever among top rated Test bowlers. His cousin Stream Marmison is the second worst. :haha:

Strauss looked shell shocked after the match
Gotta feel it for the guy, lost to ireland and now Bangladesh. tied with India, i think he's going to have a heart attack

yeah , bangladesh fans are litte bit stupid , so as their players most time , even though you lost or win you should stay and support , its a game , you cant win with bigger teams every time .

I think they left to bring in some luck to the team. They never win close games when the crowd is around and hence they tried something different, and it worked for them :)
