ShahidAfridi Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Both oz and SL suck worse than Pak and yes I am sure they can't beat India. India screws things up due to self doubt' date= all unnecessary if you ask me. Please stop it :hysterical:
wanted_desi Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Sreesanth has played enough on that pitch, how did he do on it? I still feel Munaf is more like Razaaq type bowler.
achilles Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Finey bro/sis, I appreciate your efforts in posting the thread. This can be a valid discussion provided the time is valid and people want to discuss about it. We've come on the back of a valiant win and people might get annoyed with some negativity.
spectre Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Ashwin should open and bowl his 6 overs in PPs Zak just first 4 over, have his remaining overs for the old ball Munaf to bowl rest of pacers quota in PPs Get Raina or Yusuf to throw some darts around in rest of PP overs. Then Indias No.1 spinner a.k.a Yuvi would come and torment the pakis :--D
cricketlover Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Havent seen much of ashwin.. only saw a bit of him in highlights and as it was highlights he was getting smashed around and i really couldnt tell what his strengths are. what i saw was a wierd confusing action and not much turn.. what does ashwin do when he is doing well? big turner? economical? creates chances?
cricketlover Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 and why doesnt tendulkar bowl at all these days? he was an okay part timer
ghost Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Yuvraj was frank about it. Gambhir, Kohli and Raina should realize that Yuvraj and Sehwag are not exactly youngsters anymore and poor runners to boot, and adjust accordingly !
Hell Raiser Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 We need Sreesanth in the team. We need his aggression on this big stage. He might go for runs but so does Munaf and Nhera but at least Sree brings some intent with him to take wickets unlike the other two.

pinkfreud Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 ^ The same can be said about a whole heap of other bowlers, but beggars can't really be choosers.
Hell Raiser Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 he is an immature kid and probably does more harm than good usually Munaf was clearly the weak link in the last game, went for runs and didn't took even a single wicket. Sree can also go for runs but he can also give India wickets which will be the key.
cricketlover Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 maybe... but from what i know and hear, dhoni isnt really a fan of him and was forced to include him in the squad. and prolly bringing someone in whose been made to sit out for 6 matches and was spanked by bangladesh doesnt augur confidence in my opinion. if dhoni had to play him he should have been given atleast 1 more match in the grp stages as a pakistani fan ill be more afraid of munaf patel.. better line. sreesanth is all over the place which gives batsmen like akmal afridi razzaq to fire. and as a cricket fan i just dont like him.. has nothing to do with indian. just dont like his attitude

NareshK Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Ashwin should bowl. There's more risk involved in hitting spinners on Indian tracks than pacers in the first 10 overs, especially Ashwin with his variations and tight line and length. The openers will either be cautious or they will try to score boundaries and get out. India has to persist with him.
cricketlover Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Munaf patel will worship you for the rest of his life after reading this.:two_thumbs_up: tbh honest im comparing munaf patel with sreesanth! theres not much of a glaring choice is there? its not like im comparing him to lee or gul or zaheer both are pretty ordinary with one outstanding performance in a blue moon
diegovegaz Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 we don't have much options besides ashwin nehra is rusty, it can backfire if we decide to play him ashwin is our best bet, our current bowling strategy should continue
