NareshK Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 The Paki fans were making a lot of fun of both Munaf and Nehra leading up to this match but their batsmen were clueless against both of them. I have to admit I didnt have a lot of confidence in them either after the way they bowled in the earlier games but they proved me and a lot of other people wrong. :hatsoff:
Bumblebee Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 the mouthing which munna gave to hafiz was epic the mc bc and the epic word bhosd*** was just awsome
ganeshran Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I forgive you :icflove: :P thats no fun at all :hitler: :hitler:
msb1991 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 he only tries to play on batsmen patience with his line n length.wont work in Tests.hasnt got the skill to run through a side Line and length and seam movement is just the sort of thing that will work better in Test cricket than in ODI cricket, imo. There is a reason he took wickets in the Ranji Trophy Super League last year. Being a very consistent bowler will get you wickets. Perhaps he will not be at his most potent in the subcontinent. However, in the tracks where he will not be potent will be the tracks where spin plays the biggest role and a pace bowler is mainly expected to keep it tight and gain wickets through pressure.
msb1991 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 his line and length is impeccable as always' date=' and that ball to razzaq was magic.[/quote'] It is all about keeping him fit. Do not burn him out. He has been a good bowler for a while but I think he will fade into inconsistency if he is not rested for a few games after IPL.
10DuLKaR Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 DID ANYBODY CATCH WHAT HE SAID AFTER GETING HAFEEZ CAUGHT BEHIND...lol i'm sure thats gonna be up on youtube soon... TMKC, BKL haha yeah, I loved that.. :cantstop::cantstop:

rkt.india Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 loved his interview in the end.. very innocent guy.. poor guy the aggression does not come naturally to him' date=' but he did his best..[/quote'] He used to pretty aggressive and quick when he first came in 2006. I still remember that test of Mohali 2006...he has the best figure for an Indian debutant fast bowler...I still remember English batsmen hoping on his sharp bouncers and stumbling on his superb inswinging yorkers..don't know "kahan vo MUnaf kho gaya." I want that Munaf back again. SRT needs to give some pep talk to him and encourage him to bowl like what he did then."
Mr_Rat Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 You can watch Munaf giving it here- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricket/cricket-world-cup/8416935/India-v-Pakistan-Cricket-World-Cup-2011-match-report.html

Tendulkar_Bhai Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Munaf bowls consistant lines making it difficult for the batsmen to play their natural shots so have to try something different and create chances. When you bowl wicket to wicket non batsman like Razzak are more likely to miss the ball. Mumabi is a swinging pitch and he doesnt swing the ball, he also cant bowl yorkers, but i still would play him in the final and open with Ashwin and Zak.
msb1991 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 he touched 143.4km/h in the game It is hard to say if it is an anomaly, as it registered 85mph (137kph) on Cricinfo. However, was definitely a bouncer that could trouble batsmen at any level. When he has that reputation as a metronomic bowler, the shock bouncer really does catch the batsman off guard.
