You never know who does well in an India vs Pak contest

Gul and Yuvraj were the biggest trumpcards for their respective side. Both flopped in their main area. Riaz stepped up big time. He was the most cursed bowler because he was the reason why Akhtar couldn't play. He came up with fifer. Same way Nehra and Munna bhai were the most cursed as one of them replaced Ashwin. In the end their spells were more crucial. Infact in pace department we outbowled Pakistan as they had only one bowler. Spin bowling i would say equal. Esssentiailly we won the pace battle hands down.

Yuvraj didn't 'flop' today. he got an unplayable delivery. u gotta give credit to their bowler, he was superb. yuvraj bowled well, and fielded brilliantly. great to see him at point again, he belongs there. GUL on the other hand... epitomizes the paki team. a gutless choker who cant hold his nerve when the occasion demands it. honestly, the WORST BOWLING i have seen in this tournament was GUL vs India (wide, full toss, wide, drifting onto pads again, again, wide...what trash) and shoaib akhtar vs NZ. all the indian players held their nerve, didnt let the occasion get to them and played a solid game. you cant compare them to these pakis.

Gul running his mouth came back to haunt him. He claimed that if Showbabe played there would be less pressure on him as the senior bowler...turns out Wahab outbowled him by about 6958 miles :haha: Yuvi got a good un first up...still made the crucial breakthroughs with the ball and took our first catch

Gul was Sehwaged very early and thus he failed to make any contribution in the match :hehe:
sehwag didnt do anything special. he was just putting away bad deliveries, and super phaaaaaaasht mashter of reversh shwing bowled plenty of them.

I must say i was disappointed with some of the batting display against Saeed. They have played him before. SO they know him. Yet they were struggling to pick the ball from his hand. It was compounded by his long pauses. There is a score to settle against him. I put that down to nerves.

Yuvi got a really really good delivery upfront....He didnt flop as his 2 wickets were crucial and even any specialist bowler will be proud of it. his fielding was up to the mark too.

Massively bump-worthy thread at the right time. Even losing wouldn't hurt so much to a troll. :two_thumbs_up:

Gul floped...but Pakistan will be very happy to see the performance of other players like Riaz, Ajmal, Hafeez & Shafiq. they are their future. Pakistan also need to ban for life their wk. India....well...I must commend the pacers. After initially lossing the plot..they hold their own on what was very slow wicket. Hoping still the in final...Dhoni bring back Ashwin

Kami dropped Hussey thrice they lost the test. He dropped Taylor in the prelims. They lost the ODI. Here also he made couple of mess ups. Here also they lost :hysterical: . He averages like 25? I am not sure what they see in him as a batsman.

Wahab bowled really well. He earned those wickets. Yuvi, Sehwag, Dhoni etc were good wicket taking deliveries. So I would him credit for that. The 7-2 field for Umar Gul against Sehwag was br@infart of highest quality. You can't do that in ODI cricket.
