Recipe For World Domination ?

As the euphoria of WC win will be on the upswing for atleast a week, we should enjoy it. But I hope the selectors and captain are thinking tough road ahead both in tests and ODIs atleast at the back of their minds. What do you think needs to be done ? What are the areas to be improved ? Who are the players that need to be blooded for next WC or test team ? With our greats leaving the scene in a year or so or at best two, one does not want a void as most teams experience. In fact, anyone 32 or 33 cannot be entirely backed to play 4 years down the line esp. with the amount of cricket being played. Needless to say imo, nusiance of IPL persists. Not even a weeks gap between WC ( which last about 2 months ) and IPL. As I understand, most players will be joining. So, where do you see Indian cricket going because I wouldn't want this to the peak of successfull era in Indian cricket of last 5-7 years. This is a golden opportunities. Thanks

Improve the cricket administration in the country - at all levels, starting from junior cricket and going all the way up to the National Cricket Academy etc. If this can be improved then I see no reason why we cannot be the next West Indies of 70s or 80s or the Aussies of the early 2000s.

We not not claiming world domination.
Lets see now, other than SL, Aus and SA every place has been won. Even in these places test series was drawn and these sides either lost or have drawn test series in India from the current squad

World domination means winning test series away from home against top teams.
then if we defeat Pakistan in a Test series it won't count towards our World Dominance :((

Good, because if you did, you will be the laughing stock of the entire cricketing world. The OP said recipe for world domination which implies in the future, not just now.

First and foremost, Ind needs to start preparing sporting pitches :nice: And ofc encourage fast bowlers to actually bowl first and not cage them down by making the swallow the "focus on line and length even if you have to slow down pill" .... The mantra should be ball quick and go all out and also try to focus on the line and length

These guys are capable. They don't do on their own. That is what it appears to be. They are worried about injuries. Nehra, Munaf, Sree all clocked over 140 k easily during the knock out stage. Sree touched 91 mph. Overall fitness level has to go up to sustain the pace. Bowling fast doesn't appear to be a problem. Sustaining is the key. Also when you do sustain you shouldn't lose shape. On Indian pitches even some unkonwn dude Hiral patel beat the crap out of Australia's premiere fast bowlers. Imagine our bowlers. So it is a thankless job. RP singh is such a wonderfully talented bowler. Unfortunately he has to bowl on these crappy belters.

0) Establish a research lab to find all possible methods to keep Sachin fit for 2015 0.1) Find a replacement for Gary. 0.2) Dhoni should find a WK-replacement for himself - for rotation. He is taking too much pressure playing all the games. 1) Sehwag must try his best to implement - stay until 50 overs ( as long as he can). 2) Fielding, poor fielding from Munna/Nehra ( even Zaheer needs improvement), can cost few close games. 3) Big time hunt for 2 more strike bowlers to support ZAK., or Sachin must quit batting and focus on bowling now. 4) Experiment as much as possible in meaningless series/matches. 5) UV/Raina need to get a bit more slimmer, they are still carrying extra weight, that might cause them injuries and stamina issues, as they grow older.

Its going to be an uphill task to accomplish monopoly like Australia did primarily because our strength is built on batting which is necessary but not sufficient. We are still miles behind top teams in the bowling department. We can see from SL's 1996 WC triumph that WC win doesn't necessarily translate to world domination if you don't have good enough bowlers ( a set of bowlers, one individual (like Murali) isn't good enough).
