It looks to me we have 3 options. Pujara - Stick with him and give him more time to settle into the side? Yuvraj - Can the confidence he has now help him flourish as a test match batsman, or has he been consigned as strictly a limited overs player? Kohli - He looks to have a solid technique and attitude, and could one day be captain so do we throw him in now, or wait until one of the seniors retire then give him a chance? I'm finding it quite difficult to decide, but if I had to choose one I would probably go with Kohli.

Between Pujara and Kohli for me. Ideally, if there is a warm up game before the Tests I'd play both and pick based on that, but otherwise, stick with Pujara - if he can make some good scores then he stays, otherwise Kohli gets his chance.

I think we should give Yuvi one more chance in Tests now. He's full of confidence after the WC success and it would be the right time to bring him in the team. We should also have one of Pujara/Kohli/Raina in the squad.

Yuvi wants to make a comeback in tests side, so give him a chance. He has improved his bowling too, which will fill the gap of second spinner if we decide to go with 3 seamers and Bhajji.

Without a doubt Pujara. He's got the temprement, skill and technique to dominant in England. Last year he lead the India A team in June/July in the Tri Series against English Counties, West Indies A, England Lions and was India highest run scorer. All in the typical swing/seaming conditions on English pitches where that kind of experience is like gold dust. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/records/team/match_results.html?class=13;id=5622;type=tour 55 not out vs Yorkshire 44 vs Windies A 208 not out vs Windies A 0 vs Scotland :( 122 not out vs Scotland 31 vs Windies A 73 vs England Lions 114 vs Windies A 27 run out vs England Lions :( 87 not out vs England Lions in the final He did it all with an aggressive strike rate playing at the number 4 position and his fielding is pretty good as well. Yuvraj doesn't have the technique, Kohli is untested. Pujara has to get the nod.

Think Pujara should be given the WI tour to prove himself. Looks a good player...I am sure Kohli will get his chance soon enough.

We should rest Dravid for west indies tests and play Pujara at no.3 and Kohli at no.6 We shold also have Rahane as backup batsmen As for Raina and Yuvraj they should prove their mettle in Ranji trophy before being considered for tests. Performance in ODIs should never be yardstick for test selection.

It has to be either Kohli or Pujara . If Yuvraj gets the nod before both of them then he is very likely to succeed in West Indies but in upcoming series against England and Australia , he will be exposed and thrown out of the team yet again . Yuravj cant succeed in Tests against quality sides , simple as that

^^ Dravid is rested enough already. Think we should rest Tendu and let him get his 100 in England!
Na, let him get it over and done with in the West Indies, so he can go into the England series stress free and without the hype and burden of it hanging around his neck.

No way that Sachin is going to skip a Test series if fit - he never has done, and with just a few years left in his career, he'll want to make the most of the remaining opportunities. Will almost certainly skip the ODIs though.

It is an open and shut case. Kohli. That guy has temperament, technique, defense. Only minus point could be , he shuffles across a lot. But if you look at Pujara he does the same too. On a decent batting surface Vijay is rock solid. But i don't think he is a no.6 batsman. He fails any place other than opening.
