julianlev Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 heard Boucher as commentator for first time in this IPL what do you guys think? he's played here so he'll know the tracks and the players and has great rapport with some of the players his chat with Smith was funny as hell "when are you going to clean my pool?"
Prakat Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Sooner him than Danny "Hyper Boli" Morrison. @ZaltzCricket Commentator Danny Morrison drinks glass of water, describes it as "an awesome drink, a sensational effort by Hydrogen, Hydrogen and Oxygen".
saneindian Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Much better than Brad the "faentaaasatic" Hogg.
jibranpatel15 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 whatever Boucher does is always good and he is far better rhan Sidhu 1st. Even hogg,Morrison & yes Ramiz Raja aswell.
Switchblade Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Voice is little bit dull i mean he should show little bit of excitement when thers a 6 or 4 like Jackers

What's the story behind the 'cleaning my pool' jibe? Local SA rivalry? Fill us in on the spicier details. :P I haven't heard Boucher yet, so can't comment. But I find this whole chatting with a player during a game really ridiculous gimmick. Let the guy play in peace. I managed to see Smith from pretty close yesterday while he was walking back to the pavilion in between the innings. The guy is huge. He's as wide as a tree trunk. :omg: Gram Smith is a misnomer. He should be called Ten Tonne Smith or something.
Switchblade Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Have seen their rant on twitter too Smithy calls him Rab may be his nick name or something though Smith has been inactive on twitter for a while now

He's not called "Biff" for no reason as for the pool bit, I think it was just a nod to how long Graeme's been away from SA He and Boucher are old friends and it was good to see the rapport between them
Switchblade Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Smith had also said that Kallis and Mark are best of mates during ipl 1 he said that

BERGKAMP Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Boucher is a bit dull but bearable, Hogg on the other hand is a mumbling fool who cant even pronounce English names properley, let alone Indian ones.
Switchblade Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I enjoy listening to Jackers and Hayesman (Goodness Me)
Ram Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 In amongst voices like Sellout-Siva, Motormouth-Harsha, Hyperbole-Morrison and Amnesia-Hogg, any sane/reasonable voice is definitely a refreshing change.
daryl1985 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Morrison is the best commentator by some distance. I love his enthusiasm and he seems like a very good guy!
